The only thing anywhere near “woke” in House of the Dragon is Corlys being black but his race isn’t some social commentary inserted into the show. If anything it helps confirm a big rumor from the book by changing he and his children’s race. If anything, it’s the rare example of good race swapping in media.

It’s their ideology. It’s not a productive one. At its “best” or rather least destructive, they just co-opt the success of others and claim it as their own. Usually they destroy something and then say it was bad to begin with.

i've got no complaints about this race swap tbh. fictional characters and it actually leans into the targaryen lore of the show with the blonde hair no matter what.
i'd say casting a "them" as a lead (it's a chick. she knows it. the showrunners know it. we all know it.)along with casting other random colored people that weren't written that way could be "woke," but i repeat, it's well done so most people DGAF.

This is because they sold it on woke bullshite rather than a coherent concept that would fit inside the Star Wars universe. They also mentioned how they were making it for new fans rather than old fans.
The show was realistically a 5 or 6. It wasn't awful but not really intriguing or good either. its the girl you would take home but you aren't taking her by your buddy's to brag about her.

No way dude. You're describing a slump buster. This show was not good enough to be called that. Its more like a 3:00 am last call drunken disaster. It's not at all like the girls you tell your buddies you are looking for. Its one you wish you could take back.
