I like the theme song from Alice, by Linda Lavin.

Did Alan Thicke sing the theme song to Growing Pains?
ETA: also, damn. Going way back with Alice.

Frasier is the answer. I didn't know Linda sang that song. Mel was awesome.

quote:Not an actor, but Steve Franks, the creator of Psych, and his band The Friendly Indians, wrote and sang the theme song for Psych, “I Know, You Know.”

Although Thicke and his wife Gloria Loring did sing the theme to The Facts of Life. Alan sang background, obviously.

If I did know that I must have forgotten.
Huh.
Won't be a very long list, I'd imagine.

Willona from Good Times wrote and Sang "Movin' on Up" from The Jefferson. Not exactly the same, but close. They are in the same universe, after all.

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
And no list would be complete with a Chuck Norris mention. Is there anything he can't do?
Walker, Texas Ranger.

Grant Goodeve, Eight is Enough. (I figured "Goodeve" was close enough to "good".)

Anything since the 1990's?

New Girl? That's since the 90s.
Zooey Deschanel sang it.
As an aside, she's got a really good voice. Christmas album is great.
