Loved Parks n Rec. Tried liking the Office and just couldn’t get through season one.

The Office is a better show IMO. I like both but I love Office more. Until Michael leaves of course.

The office post Michael is at times truly unwatchable.

I honestly found enough episodes unwatchable while Michael was still there to where I quit watching before his exit. Some really great and funny episodes of the show but it got - at least for me - to where there were too many awkward, uncomfortable, unfunny episodes sprinkled in.

I mean, most political commentary and pop culture references age poorly.
As do some technology references in sci-fi shows.

I don’t buy that. Ron was a boss till the end. His only weakness was a slutty librarian and letting little girls paint his nails so he could bang Xena.

what do you consider emasculating though, having a family? Wife and kids? I think many people would call that the opposite of emasculating and consider it one of the fundamental aspects of "being a man".

Sure he shows some super soft spots here and there with his new family full of females but I mean if Ron's arc was him just going Unabomber style living in the woods by himself his whole life that'd kinda suck too. His story wrapping up with takin ga job where he literally gets to walk in the woods and kayak through lakes all day (and have a staff he can boss around) was perfect.

I hated Jean Ralphio the first watch through.

Subsequent watches I realized his sleazy, incompetent, spoiled value.

They had an entire episode where they mocked American government compared to Venezuelan government shortly before the murders, and starvation, and drug trafficking. Fred Armisen was great in it though.
