No one is commenting but I hear Chandler is poised to play Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern character that was played by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 movie.
The series, from Ozark’s Chris Mundy, Watchmen‘s Damon Lindelof, and comic book writer Tom King, follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.

He’s an older guy so this will have him passing the role to some younger female.

As for OP, love some Kyle Chandler. Always glad to see him taking on a role and will give it a shot for him alone.

I read that Brolin was the first choice but he declined. I think I would when preferred him, but Chandler is a solid choice. They completely mishandled him in those Godzilla movies so it’s nice to see him join another franchise.

How old is Hal Jordan in the comics? I love Kyle (FNL is the GOAT) but he's pushing 60. I always thought Green Lantern was a younger guy.

Brolin hates doing TV. He did that one Amazon show, but that is the only television show he has done in like 20+ yrs.

man, i dont know. i heckin' love Kyle Chandler, but i'm having a hard time seeing him in a superhero outfit. they will almost certainly have to write that out of the script and have him in normal clothes in this role.

I like the idea of an older Hal mentoring the younger GL. Hal will always be the best to wear the ring so I will absolutely be checking this out.
