Anyone else think it's odd that M-Tex flies it's engineers, along with Norris' daughter, out to Midland while having it's general manager, now VP-Ops, drive back and forth to Fort Worth like it's a normal commute?
all this being said, still a fun show overall.

The shows timeline is what, a frew weeks tops in? All this shite in just a few weeks. Can you imagine Tommy’s past 30 years.

Tommy's having made it, then lost it, has been referenced two or three times so one would think more of that story will come out.
But then I'm still waiting on the dinosaur bones and airplane bomb stories to play out, so...
Monty has been referred to as growing up in a trailer and as a trust fund baby by BBT, so I'm kind of confused there.

Jerry gets a ton of shite and rightfully so as a football guy, but anyone who deals with him says he’s one of the most genuine guys out there
Jerry is one of my few celebrity encounters. My wife and I were at a hotel bar in NYC several years ago. We look over at the table next to us and it’s the Jones clan sitting down. The Cowboys were playing the Giants the next day. I muster up the liquid courage to introduce myself. They couldn’t have been nicer. We talked about Arkansas and Alabama football. I asked the waiter if I could buy their round and the waiter basically said I couldn’t afford what they were drinking. They left soon after. When we asked for our check, the waiter said the Jones took care of it.

Considering the daughter is supposed to be on spring break.. and she showed up like in episode 3?
So each episode has been about a day each

She said in one of the last few episodes that she has now transferred. Yet we never see her in any kind of school.

Daughter shows up 24 minutes into episode 1.

I like the show especially the setting. Are some of the side stories kind of thin and dumb? Yes. Overall I just like BBT in this role. Not going to lie I am kind of looking forward to the old people strip club scene

VP has to drive 4.5 hours there and 4.5 hours back. 9 hours of driving for a 30min meeting
That's so inefficient, but it isn't represented as a 9.5 hour day, so I think you are just supposed to infer that it's a 16 hour day and he was checking out rigs for the other 6.5 hours on that drive.
Who knows if Sheridan even considered It tho. BBT mentioned he had a LONG day ahead of him right? Or was that a different episode?
This show like all TS shows is unrealistic, it's best to just turn your brain off while watching.

I'm calling it right now, at least one of those seniors has a heart attack.

Yes, all of the side plots are really shitty so if it’s like Yellowstone, in future seasons look for them to be fill 80-90% of the content with the remaining advancing the main plot by a few inches

I missed this. But seems like she hangs around often during the day with her mother.

A friend is an NFL player agent (he represented Tyron Smith when he signed with the Cowboys) and he told me years ago Jerry Jones is the type to sit with you and buy you beers in the airport lounge while talking football. He has nothing but good things to say about the guy.

It’s so weird to me, the idea of just introducing yourself to a famous person. Leave those people alone.

Not one that usually cares about that but he was sitting inches from me in a crowded bar. Wasn’t like they were having a quiet dinner and I barged in to ask for an autograph.

You’re the one being weird. Jerry is a legend. There was nothing awkward about what he did. I’d have done the same

Yeah, I'm waiting for something bad to happen with one of the seniors, and then the mother and daughter get the crap sued out of them by the family of the old fart.
Posted on 1/8/25 at 9:48 am to Bamatab
That's probably exactly where we are headed, and then the entire subplot will be dropped next season

I'm thinking Angela wrecks the nursing home van after drinking too many margaritas.

What are the odds that BBT’s son hire the guys that kicked his arse to run the wells on that lease he just signed? Olive branch?
