I'll go see anything Coppola puts out, but this thing seems odd.

This looks terrible.

The vanity quotes for The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, & Dracula were nauseatingly narcissistic.

I'm guessing the studio recognized how bizarre that trailer is and to remove doubt from viewers and to drum up box office, they put together that montage of other Coppolla movies that people questioned that turned out to be classics.

But yes, that was sophomoric at best.

There’s a part in this movie that an actual person comes out and interacts with the film, going to see this in theaters just to see what that looks like in a wide release

One of the interesting things about this is there isn’t really a studio here. Coppola basically funded this entire thing and had a helluva time getting anyone to distribute the movie. I expect this movie to be bad, but an autist untethered by a studio has my interest peaked for the potential of a movie that gets panned out the gates but rises in critical reception over the years

Well then I take back my theory and the intro was just a narcissist vomiting on film.

It happened at Cannes, I highly doubt this will happen when it's released nationwide.

It'd be something if they somehow were able to fund some high school aged worker at the movie theater to be the guy who does it though

Bad trailer (from the visionary director stuff in the beginning to the oddly offputting voiceover) of what appears to be an interesting movie. It has that avant garde feel to it such as Blade Runner, Blue Velvet, Inception and others of the like. Those types of movies can't really be put into a trailer, because it just comes off as weird. As another poster stated, it looks as if they did this strange opening of promoting previous films to let people know to trust what's coming due to it being a bit mysterious and weird.

I'll give it a shot for sure, but that was not a good trailer from a marketing perspective.

I’ll be demanding a refund if they don’t send the popcorn kid in to speak with Adam Driver.
