Enjoyed the Newhart sweet spot...
The Bob Newhart Show was a weekly view in our house
Newhart carried me through HS and College.
Plus, his appearances on Carson
He was great and deserving of consideration for comedy's Rushmore.

I was born in 78, so Newhart was on from the time I was 4 to when I was 12. I watched the hell out of that show. My parents always thought it was weird for a kid.

Thank you Bob for the many years of entertainment. Heaven just got a lot more fun. Bet Rickles locked the pearly gates on him for a laugh.

Newhart was a great show and really highlighted his style of comedy. Used to love watching that show with my grandparents growing up.

Yep, one of my first memories was watching the Mary Tyler Moore Show and the Bob Newhart show back to back on Saturday nights back in the early/mid 70's.

When he got to heaven I hope he was greeted with "I'm Jesus, this is my apostle James and my other apostle James. Park it anywhere."

Yep, Suzanne Pleshette played his wife on the first TV series he was on.
Pretty woman with a sexy voice to boot.

I try not to think of it as him dying, but him going to sleep and waking up in a prior series
Waking up to a gorgeous wife.
