You have a very weird obsession with this show. It's to the level of social media bots defending someone like Swift or Sabrina Carpenter.

It's all subjective, but not everyone has to agree that it's a good show. It has definitely declined over time, and I don't know a single person, in real life, who has been pleased with the last season.

Homelands is disgusted because everyone surrounding him in that picture looks like they do meth. Just missing Nancy

Good question. She's only come out to one person on screen and that's Steve. We don't know if she came out to the rest.

When she was talking to Will on the radio tower she said something along the lines that he was only the second person she told.

If they had made the scene realistic it would have looked more like this Twitter Link

I also just don’t get how you’ve had all these years and more than enough episodes this final season and you’re still going into the finale with way too many things to tie together to stick the landing

Seems to happen often with some of these shows in their final seasons, it’s like they want to save every single reveal for the finale but then everything feels rushed

This is how long Will’s scene should’ve lasted. Sorry for the Facebook link.

This. Especially when you know in advance when the show is going to end. As good as Breaking Bad and The Americans did at sticking the landing I’m still not sure why it should really be that hard of a thing to do.

The final episode doesn’t even have to be the climax. Breaking Bad’s third to last episode was the best not the last. Nothing matters more than closing out the story well.

Caught this second “chapter” a couple nights ago.

I haven’t caught up with the thread yet but I assume people were super annoyed by the gay shite taking like 20 minutes. I know I was.

But this batch of episodes was at least a step up from the first batch (those were bad).

The angle that the upside down is a wormhole to another planet/dimension was kinda cool. Not sure their plan I the smartest, but whatever.

Interested to see if they can stick the landing. There’s only one (~2+ hour) episode left, right?

Is this true? She told Steve she was gay. Plus, she has a longstanding relationship with the nurse girl. I figured everyone knew.

Dude, she WENT OUT OF HER WAY to corner Will and talk to him when she thought he saw her and the candy striper. She's been sneaking around all season. How do you miss that?

Do you people all watch TV while fricking around on your phones?

She's making out with her GF at her place of work. A hetero couple would likely do the same.

That made sense as the reason, because she then lectures Will about accepting who he is. People have called that out for hypocrisy, but I took it as evidence that she'd come out as gay.

Chill the frick out, dude.

1 out of 10 votes for episode 7 in the last 8 hours

It released on Christmas Day. If you didn’t watch it that night, when exactly were you going to get to it that allowed you to review it. Honestly , I’m surprised it’s only 10%.

Episode 7 was a 8.1 ratings on IMDb till yesterday at noon

December 26 at noon was like 16 hours since it dropped in the late evening as the third of three one hour episodes. You realize you are basically supporting the argument that the drop in rating occurred once all but the diest of die hard fans got a chance to see it. I’m glad for you that you liked it, but the season has been mid to bad.
I saw it with extended family ranging from mid teens to true 80s kids. All age groups felt the acting was borderline eye roll bad except for a couple of characters, the writing was absolutely mediocre and plodding, and the agenda stuff is super heavy handed. It’s NOT just the gay superhero nonsense. How many strong woman moments can a series have? Nancy is just laughably obnoxious. Her ICU patient mom is now somehow an action star. They are shoehorning in new characters in the last few episodes for what reason? Mainstays are completely neglected. What has Mike had to do this whole season? Now that Will has powers and has taking out demos and faced Vecna, what has 11 got left?

Don’t get me wrong, there are still some good moments. It was cool to see Will go against Vecna for round 2, Max escaping the mind prison was nice though the long dialogue between her and Holly was kind of ridiculous after she had already missed her chance once due to hesitating. Liked Dustin and Steve’s reconciliation scene. But it feels like these good moments are filled with a LOT of trash. There’s way too much time spent spinning wheels with meaningless dialogue that serves no story purpose, and the plot armor is too strong at times. The laundry room scene with the demo dogs struggling to find the group huddling around a blaring radio…come the frick on. I hope the 2 hour finale is awesome. I’m not expecting it because the setup for it has been just OK, and that is grading on the curve of goodwill from previous seasons. It has a very Matrix and GoT feel to finishing something you are invested in, but being pretty unsatisfied.

@Lanelsu83, How are you holding up now that S5 Episodes 1-6 are now only the third highest rated of the series first six episodes?

S5E7 is now the lowest rated episode of the series and this season is so far the lowest rated season.

Just looked, its at a 5.5 rating... ouch.

Next lowest was the S2 episode that featured 8 and its at like a 6.2 rating.

I have a question about the run time of the episodes. Was I just imagining it, or didn’t they release the runtimes of the volume 2 episodes a few weeks ago and they were much longer? I swear I remember seeing that each episode was like 1hr45min to 2hrs in length. And they obviously weren’t that long. Did they cut the episodes down to be shorter last minute?

What happened to the rest of the family that they drugged. They have to still be tied up or wouldn't they have gone to the authorities and identify all their kidnappers.

I'm midway through episode 6 and it just feels like they are trying to throw weird shite into the show just for the sake of adding weird shite, like the two cokeheads being stuck in the room. What the frick was up with all the Elmer's glue or semen or whatever it was running down the walls?
