Social media has really destroyed yall from enjoying anything anymore. Season 4 not only was one of the best if not better than season 1 but one of the best seasons ever of a show. The ratings were thru the roof for season 4. It had 2 of the best episodes in the entire series.

No one is saying this. Game of themes has no good episodes in the final season. The finale had a rating of a 4 and the average rating per episode was a 6.4.
It was one of the worst seasons in tv history. We watched the last season live. We will never forget.
Every stranger things season 5 episode was rated great if not excellent except for episode 7 and that’s due to one 8 minute terrible woke scene. 70k votes in the last 2 days for episode 7 30k 1 out of 10 votes. Good job on the troll job. Season one episodes have the most votes at 42k. HAHA
Yall are just repeating things you see on social media at this point.

Other than just losing their minds on the gay stuff (which I don’t begrudge, it was stupid virtue signaling but not unrelated to the plot point of Vecna exploiting you,) it’s peak stranger things and has been for 3 seasons. If you’re complaining about this season, you should a bailed on S2.

These are two of my biggest gripes as well. Plot armor may be my #1; as I’ve said in here, the fact that nobody “important” ever dies is completely ridiculous and means the stakes are never actually high at all.

And the worst part is that I can just picture the Duffer brothers injuring their hands from patting themselves on the backs super hard for all of this idiocy.
On top of that, you also make a good point about new characters while existing (and formerly prominent) ones take a back seat.
The “strong woman” shite is out of control obviously. But I think it bothers me more that they keep splitting up like a bunch of dumbasses. You’re in the UD in a military base looking for Vecna and demigorgans….but hey you two go thataway and we’ll go thisaway. It’s just dumb.
Another of my bigger gripes is that aside from a couple things here or there, everything about this season just feels…lazy. Which is a very bad thing considering the 3+ years they’ve had to make this shite.

*And to the cvnt who's DVing me, wow! What a puss. This sort of AI stuff is funny because fans still watch this show. Even if many are disappointed, you're not seeing anyone make or share AI clips on bad shows, like The Acolyte, Kenobi or Robyn Hood.

Which considering that half the characters are DND players and the whole DND theme of the show with Vecna, splitting the party all the time should be even more stupid in their viewpoint.

Keep in mind that some of the "formerly prominent" characters have aged into very bad actors..
El's character still doing the single syllable just-learned-English from Papa thing comes off as just bad acting now that she's visibly a full grown adult on screen
Erica is a horrific actor whose sassy black girl shtick was humorous as a child.. now she just sounds like a Spirit Airlines ticket agent
The professional actors on the show are - unsurprisingly - putting down the best performances, and I imagine its because the writers know they can get more out of them than the others.
Also does anyone know if Linda Hamilton actually had to audition for her part? Or did the Duffers just Google "female actors in strong military roles" and Demi Moore wasn't available?

He was great in the early seasons though. I just went through a rewatch and he is arguably the best of the kids. But now he's one of, if not the worst of the group. He reads his lines in a monotone voice and his expressions are so wooden.
Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo and Joe Keery are the best of the kids. Finn isn't bad, they just haven't given him anything to do in about 3 seasons lol

Every episode in Season 5 could be 15 minutes shorter if he spoke in a normal cadence instead of this drawn out over-acting bullshite

Not on social media champ. Maybe you should take some of your own advice and take a break from it bc You seem way too attached to this. It’s a show dude not everyone is going to like it and that’s ok. You getting all annoyed bc people don’t feel the same way as you is pretty comical.
Show had the perfect climax in the third season and should’ve ended there. When shows/movies start bringing back main characters who supposedly died that’s just lazy writing. Between that and the gay shite, the lover quarrels, super long dialogues and the people playing teenagers all looking like they’re 25/30, Shows gone down hill. Let’s wrap it up and move on please.
ETA: Also ratings are like preseason CFB polls they mean absolutely nothing

Think its always been what it is, but I remember a few months back it was floated that every episode was over 90 minutes, which ended up being false.
Amazing that the episodes are as long as they are and we are still limping towards getting a lot of answers/wrap up. The unnecessary dialogue is killing this thing.

I agree with this. I do think a lot of the charm from seasons 1-3 was lost in season 4-5. It feels like the stakes got too big for what the show was supposed to be. But that’s my major complaint outside of the virtue signaling scenes
