Joseph Kosinski (who would seemingly be the ideal choice to helm Thunder, but one imagines he wouldn’t be too keen on making back-to-back racing movies).

I’d imagine if Tom calls, he’s going to say yes.

Cruise does nothing half arse.

I could see him fielding a legitimate NASCAR team for an entire season just to get 10 minutes of actual race footage of him behind the wheel.

She really was beautiful. She's messed her face up so badly she's unrecognizable. I wonder if she's at the point directors won't cast her because she looks so bizarre. I'm watching Lioness right now and her face is really distracting.

If I am not mistaken, she is about to do some type or erotic movie soon

Nobody wants to see this.

Now a Risky Business remake/sequel where Tom plays Guido the Killer Pimp while channeling full-blown Lex Grossman mode—sign me up!

NASCAR is dying

NASCAR doesn’t seem any more or less popular than it ever has been, but I assume since they don’t have any household names anymore, that probably hurts.

Problem with this is that Cruise could not just step in as the Harry Hogge character because Cole didn't know shite about cars, only how to drive them.

A sequel in which he races against Ricky Bobby would be epic

When the sun goes down on days of thunder....the Talladega nights are just beginning. There's nothing one can't do with a race car. The other just wants to go fast. Cruise...Ferrell.

Daytona Days and Talladega Nights.

It was on fire early-mid-2000s.

Then when all the fly-by-night "new fans" ditched the sport because it wasn't "cool" or trending anymore, the lifer fans didn't recognize the sport anymore....and started bailing. NASCAR caught lightning in a bottle for a Decade, sold out and botched it in the long run.

It's not remotely discussed in MSM, on Covers, on top front page ESPN, nor destination TV as it once briefly was.

She's working at a higher frequency than ever. Multiple movies and series/mini-series per year.

Ah, fair enough. Thanks for that explanation. I didn’t realize that because I was never super into it.

We need an AJ Foyt biopic. Supposed to be a biography coming out soon, so maybe.

frick I misread that as Tropic Thunder. Nearly came in my pants.

Same and I can't imagine there would be anything close to the original made these days.
