I got about half way through this Adam Sandler drama last night and I'm not sure if I am going to finish it. Is it worthwhile staying through to the end?

Exercise in modern anxiety and psychic dread. NYC underbelly, peregrinations to-and-fro hatching schemes in an ultimate death spiral.

An uncomfortable viewing experience.

It’s also of a finer quality than 98% of all content out there.

In some ways, it’s a spiritual successor to Lodge Kerrigan’s Keane.

It's worth it for side chick's arse scene alone. Hes one nasty skank in real life tho

I can say having known and been around degenerate sports bettors, they nailed the personality pretty well. His mannerisms were pretty spot on for people I have known in life.

I thought it was fabulous. Thought it should've been nominated for at least screenplay, in addition to actor. Just more affirmation of how meaningless the awards shows are, though enough people are triggered by them to keep interest, it seems.

Watched this movie severely hungover expecting more of a comedy/thriller. Wasn’t really familiar with the Safdie brothers yet. As soon as that intro music hit along with the reminder it was an a24 movie, it was then I realized I had made a terrible mistake. One of the most intense, anxiety ridden movies I’ve ever seen. Great movie though but like said previously in the thread, not sure if I want to watch it again. I’m good with using a few of the gifs going forward.

Oh and his side chick has ones of the best asses in modern cinema.

Very well done movie. Great acting. Tough to watch having known gambling addicts. Stressful movie to watch.

I have pretty low anxiety in general, but I put this on after a really hectic day at work, and that was a mistake. I had to turn it off during one of the beginning scenes with Garnett in the store going back and forth, and that was just getting into it. I picked it up a week or two later and I'm glad I did.

If the first half isn't doing anything for you at all, maybe not.

If you want to see a movie with that type of tension that's also a lot of fun in a way Uncut Gems isn't, I'd recommend Marty Supreme. Same director (one of the two, anyway).
