For me, it’s:

Netflix
Amazon
HBO Max

Hulu

I have Hulu included with my Spotify subscription but it’s always my last choice.

I currently subscribe to three different services: HBO Max, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. I don't have a want or a need for anything else. I'll subscribe to YouTube Live in August when football season starts back up and cancel it after the Super Bowl.

I'd say there are definitely a few worthwhile.

Prime is so-so, has a couple of series worth watching. If it weren't for the Amazon tie-in, I don't think I would keep it. But with shipping and deals, PLUS the available shows, it's a no-brainer. I'm waiting on the Tolkien series.

Disney+ is a strong contender- Disney vault, MCU, Lucasfilm, now the PG Fox stuff. I really, really wish they would put the R stuff in. I got in on the intro $4 a mo for 3 years deal. Right now it has the most anticipated series for me (the Star Wars and MCU shows).

HBOMax is very strong, too. Classic HBO lineup of movies and shows, + DC shows, + WB stuff, + TCM etc. And now they're starting to add Cinemax content (Banshee, Warrior, etc). Coupled with the new release movies thing (WW84, Godzilla vs Kong etc), probably the best option out there.

With these, I've been able to not have Netflix and not worry about it.

HBO Max

HBO, TCM, Ghibli, DC, Looney Tunes... Not only do they have the TCM library, but they make it very easy to access and browse. Netflix and Amazon make you search for individual classics.

Netflix has a lot of content but usually we use it for their mediocre crime doc series.

Amazon seems to be good for finding a specific film.

We don’t watch Hulu unless they have a good series running.

Disney+ is Friday nights only, if they have a new Star Wars or Marvel series running.

What is this AMC+ you speak of?

streaming service with AMC, IFC, Sundance, Shudder, and some other content. really well-rounded stuff

kind of like how HBOMax really stands out b/c of it's non-HBO content (TCM, Adult Swim, Studio Ghibli, Looney Tunes, DC, etc.)

Prime is probably #3 just b/c of it's incredibly huge catalog. a lot of that catalog is shite, but it's still massive.

then Disney+

then Hulu (but this is for the TV content and it may slip way low if you don't want the TV content)

then probably Peacock

don't know much about the total offerings of Paramount+, but it also likely is ahead of Netflix

Netflix is so overrated these days
