I know a few pretty popular songwriters in Nashville and all of them have said that Post’s album is a fraud. He’s all an act, and a phony, and I sadly believe them. Never felt like he’s been sincere.
post malone is from texas and can literally do any type of music. he's probably the most talented artist/songwriter in the industry or one of them.
how is he a fraud? he's not limited to one genre. he wants to do all kinds of music. he can play guitar. he's a real musician. don't get the hate for him at all. very likeable guy.
anyone who tells you he's a "fraud" is just jealous of his talent IMO

1. Lots of snowflakes melting over it is really funny
2. Country music has been twangy lowest common denominator pop for decades

I honestly don't know why anyone would be upset or shocked beyonce won for best country album.
she runs the show. she controls shite. if she made a jazz album she'd win for best jazz album.

Chris Stapleton isn't a country singer, either.
Exactly. That Beyonce album is really bad though and it just gets worse every time you hear it.

I saw that Lainey Wilson’s dad is Brian Wilson and got extremely intrigued, and then disappointed

He probably apologized for taking a few votes away from her.

I’m surprised Stapleton didn’t win after he played all those Kamala rallies

She's a no talent.
But there's currently no talent in country music either.

well this is ridiculous.

I was hoping Kacey Musgraves was going to win. I want to know how voting works and who votes in each category.
I was under the impression that only country music people vote in the country categories and so on; Taylor Swift doesn't have a vote in the Jazz categories does she?

Agreed
It's gone so far down hill, to the point that it'll probably never be revived.

Why does this upset you so much? What is really at stake here, a fricking trophy from the record industry?
It’s not like Lainey or Stapleton are going to lose anything for not winning a stupid award they probably don’t care about.
It "grinds my gears" a bit because of how fake it feels, and how if the roles were reversed you'd NEVER see a country singer win best R&B/pop//rap album no matter how good it was.
Its just objectively not good music. I love country, but I have a lot of different genres that I listen to. This album wouldn't sell 1,000 copies if her name wasn't on it.

country music is the best it's been in decades currently. it's just not going to be played on the mainstream radio stations

I was just hoping a quicker death to DEI and a return to meritocracy. Will take some time I guess.
and you thought the fricking Grammys would be the vanguard in this movement?
Beyonce won best country album for two reasons:
1. As a frick you to the people that they knew would be pissed off about it
2. see reason number 1

Got a list?
Been watching Ken burns country music and have had a lot of fun listening to some old country I never got into as a kid (well a lot before my time). Curious if anyone has a list of non bro country or whatever Beyoncé pretends to be.

As Dolly Parton said, country music needs to cater to the performers who’ve spent their whole lives plying the craft first before recognizing performers like Beyoncé. Unfortunately, that still doesn’t happen enough, even with that lack of nominations for Beyoncé.

This was actually an embarrassing group of nominees across the board IMO
Musgraves is equally as bad as Beyoncé being in it. I’m tired of Stapleton winning and honestly think he’s overrated to begin with at this point.
And Lainey Wilson just annoys me. There’s a part of me would’ve preferred Post Malone win this, as sad as that is to say.
