The dude was at deaths door raddled with Alzheimer's, and wrote a song about the disease. My Mom had recently died with Alzheimer's, so this one is just...fricking hard.

Such a great song and recording. It was probably a hard decision to leave it off of the Infidels album, but the right one. It would have been the best song on that, and that's not saying anything bad about that album, it was fantastic. That song just didn't fit with the rest of that album's concept.
I thought it should have been put on the Oh Mercy album. It would have been perfect on that, with some added touches from Daniel Lanois( maybe the calls of a Chuck Will's Widow mixed in). It seems to me a perfect pairing with The Man In The Long Black Coat. About the greatest line I ever heard, " people don't live or die, people just float".

Roy and Elton wrote those songs though.

The Kinks put out some great stuff well into the Early 80's... "Give the people what they want" was a fantastic album. They had more to follow. Great band.
J Giles also... Good stuff well into the early 80's. The WHO put out some good stuff during the same time.

The last album Queen recorded with Freddie Mercury still alive had some gems on it specifically the title song "Innuendo" then, "These Are The Days of Our Lives" and "Bijou" (2nd to last song) and "Show Must Go On" (last song on album). Some of the others are really good also making this probably their best album since their 1970's classic's.
