LeBron’s MO is to act as if every season is his last and make moves for the now, completely disregarding the future (even the near future).

If they traded for Brogdon and Hield, and Lebron, Brogdon, and AD stayed at least marginally healthy, that team would be pretty damn good actually. Well, better.

But if they had to give up 2027 and 2029, 2023 would pretty much be the last hurrah and then they would likely be fricked for a decade.

They aren't taking Graham unless they move a lot of their own core first.

I’m just saying, it’s not too hard to create 20 mil in salary technically.

It’s doable.

Might have to haggle over some picks, but it’s doable.

Wish Graham didn’t suck so bad though. It would make it easier for sure.

Or throw in Jax and see if they will take less draft capital.

That’s def another route. Personally I’d like to hold onto Jax and have him continue to develop with Nance in his ear, but I know he’s not for everyone.

Big Minutes situation will def be cramped if Nance is around, Murphy is getting small ball 4 mins and Zion is around.

So there is def merit to moving Jax if we can get more legitimate shooting on the roster.

Jax showed a little bit of value tonight. Obviously we really can’t guard Phoenix at all, but he at least provided some rim running, scored on CP in the post, got a nice block on Bridges, and had at least 1 assist to BI for a corner 3 that was really impressive.

I predict they won't offer them unprotected and don't get anything great because of it.

So they are offering multiple 1st rounders. THT and Nunn are not worth crap.

They don’t have many other plays available past this other than shipping out AD or Westbrick. And the return on this is likely crap simply due to salary matching.

If they do this but don’t turn AD or Westbrick’s five dolla arse into change, it only exacerbates this season’s issues. Which is excellent for our swap rights and potentially for the 24 or 25 pick.

But it's well known that lots of guys blossom when they get away from LeBron.

I have a feeling they will offer this package for Dejounte Murray, and Spurs will accept it, unless they still hold the frick LAL sentiment.

THT, Nunn, 2 1sts and 2 swaps would be a pretty good return for him, and Murray would fit well with them.

Why in the frick would the Spurs trade Murray instead of just building around him?

I don’t think the Spurs help the Lakers on general principled and I bet they get a better return on Murray than that.

THT is overpaid for what he has shown, Nunn just missed a year, and those picks and swaps wouldn’t take place before 2026 at the earliest.

I know the Spurs play the long game but that seems like a gamble considering the Lakers could turn over about 100M in contracts after this season should LeBron bolt.

Putting Murray next to LeBron and AD likely stabilizes their core for now but still has problems getting complementary pieces to go next to them.
