There's been whispers the last couple offseasons about them moving him. Murray is like SGA, cannot carry a team and is best suited as 2nd-3rd option, but is good enough where he will win you enough games to put you outside a top pick.

Now if they win the lottery and get a top 2 pick, then that would change obviously.

While I agree that Murray isn’t a 1 guy option, he’s not getting paid like SGA. They moved Derrick White to give their young guys minutes so I don’t think they’re going to move him anytime soon.

murray can also net more than that package.

They could easily get better picks or a young potential up and comer for him.

THT is 21 and as much as people don't want to admit, does have upside.

2 picks, although far out, and 2 swaps from the Lakers would be very enticing because you're banking on them failing even more.

It's a package I would take for Murray, but maybe I'm not as high on him as most of you.

I have a feeling they will offer this package for Dejounte Murray, and Spurs will accept it, unless they still hold the frick LAL sentiment.

THT, Nunn, 2 1sts and 2 swaps would be a pretty good return for him, and Murray would fit well with them.

Why in the world would they even consider this?

That's not a good good deal for the Spurs, why would they do that? They have a young all star, why move him.

I also think that Murray is not at all a good fit with Lebron.

I don't see Spurs getting more than a young player and 2 1sts. Murray is good, but he's gotten an undeserved all star appearance that has people overrating him.

He doesn't fit with them like a glove, but Westbrook shows they don't care about fit they go for names.

Also, Murray is a Klutch client.

not a good take and if that’s all they can get at least let those young players be good. Neither THT nor Nunn are good. They aren’t getting Murray for that. Spurs have some nice pieces. They aren’t blowing it up yet.

Sorry bud but Spurs aren’t trading there best player on a really good long term deal for an overpaid role player, and injured role player with 1 year left and two firsts picks in 5-7 years. If the Lakers could have gotten anything of value they would have already pulled the trigger. The reason the Lakers haven’t made a trade is because no team is offering shite for that poo poo platter deluxe of a trade

Then they can trade him for a good return. Spurs already have Lonnie Walker, Devin Vassell, and Josh Primo as young upside guards. Why would they add two guards, both probably with less upside? Nunn is sneaky old for a guy with only 2 years in the league and THT is a terrible outside shooter.

Nunn is salary matching, nothing more.

THT is just as bad as Murray at shooting.

Again, the prize of that would be the 2 picks and 2 swaps.

And again, apparently yall value a guard that can't shoot with a token all star apprerance more than I do.

No, he's worse 33% vs 26%. He's also way worse at other stuff.

I don't think the Spurs are pressing to compete but they probably also aren't pumped to kneecap Pop's soon to be successor by trading their best player for a return they'll start collecting on when Pop is 78.

Shaedon Sharpe just announced on IG he’s putting his name in the draft while maintaining college eligibility. He’d look beautiful in a Pels jersey

I value a guard that can literally do everything else at a high level besides perimeter shooting. You can’t die on this hill because his 3 ball isn’t good and ignore his defense, facilitating, shooting 50% within the 3pt line, shoots 80% from the FT line and still only 25. THT sucks and has one solid game every 15 games and Nunn will be 27 years old when the season starts and isn’t a guy that’s intriguing to obtain after giving up your main guy. Pick, swaps, whatever… bad trade. Giving up a lot essentially on an unknown with a team in a market that players are attracted to.

I didn't realize the Spurs have 3 1st round picks this year. With all their guards I'd guess they will be looking for some size. I don't see Murray going anywhere. They are poised to make a leap..

I'll die on whatever hill I want to, he's AT BEST a 2nd option on a playoff team, and if you want a championship caliber team he can't be anymore than your 3rd option.

Spurs floor is late lottery/play in if they keep him, ceiling 1st round exit. Then you have to give him a max extension next year, and he's not worth that much money.

I think street clothes and Westbrook will have something to say about that.
