Solid 3rd quarter for the bucks

Watching this game...it's easy to see why some people would luv to have Brook Lopez on the Pels. Perfect fit.

L secured for the LoLakers
his speech was amazing though really got the team going
. That is what two or three L's in a row since he became the all time scoring leader. You hate to see it but more than that you LOVE to see it. Where are the queen fans giggling over the trades?

Ridiculous. Stopped the game for him to cry and give a speech. Open the next game up to cater further to his massive ego. Can't wait for him to retire.

Its monumental and a huge deal, but Ham and AD looked annoyed the past few days with LeBron.
Ham about the whole lets focus on the team and not on breaking the record
AD and the actual moment it happened
That being said:
@GSW
@Portland
vsNew Orleans
before they hit the ASB. Really gotta hope they go 1-2 if not 0-3.

Discussing it in another thread, curious...
What would you put the percent chance of the Lakers making the playoffs(not play in, playoffs)?
Items of note:
- They are 25-31
- They are currently the 13 seed
- They have 26 games left
- They are 2.5 games back of the 10 seed needed to make play in
- They are 4 games back of the 7 seed needed to avoid 8 seed
- They are 4.5 games back of the 6 seed needed to avoid play in

Before their trades, 20%.
Now, 35%.
These moves made them a better team, sure. They aren't enough to really push them to another level though. Not to mention it takes time to gel with that many new players and they don't have much time to do that.
I will also be surprised if LeBron plays in over 60% of their remaining games.

They need to pass the thunder, jazzz and blazers to get to 10. I think that is where they end up.
The play-in is a crap shoot. I don’t see the lakers beating the warriors or suns in a play-in. If the play-in is timberwolves, Pels, clippers maybe they make it out.
The next stretch of games is huge for lakers:
@warriors
@blazers
Pelicans
Warriors
@Mavericks
@Grizzlies
@thunder
Twolves
Warriors
That’s a tough stretch
Blazers over their next 10 games get the Thunder, Lakers, wizards, kings, rockets, warriors, Pels, hawks, magic, pistons.
If blazer beat lakers and play well in those 10 games they could have a pretty big advantage over the lakers with less than 20 to play.

If they have a shot at getting to the play in, he's isn't going to rest much. One thing you have to give LeBron is that he has been about as much of an iron man over the years as you can get. He's not a big load management guy, even at his age. If they are still in it, he's not missing %40 of their remaining games. I'd be surprised if he missed 5 games.

From 2019 to 2022 he averaged 45 games played per year.
While is on court play at age 38 is unfathomable, injuries are one spot where age has caught up with him.

I look at it in a couple of ways.
- The 10 seed will probably be around .500 ish. They'd need to go 16-10 to get to .500. Odds of that? Probably not 50%, but they also may not need to be .500
- From there, if they are 9 or 10 seed, what are the odds they win each game of the play in, with 1 or both being road games. At best, 60% odds if they're the 9 seed and maybe 50% ish if for the 2nd game?
Put those three essentially 50/50s together, and it's not good.

7th place and 8th place play @ 7th place.
winner is 7 seed.
loser 7th v 8th place plays 9/10 winner @8th place team.
winner is 8 seed.

To be fair he'll have to play against us to not be questioned for playing in the all-star game

PICK SWAP BACK ON
It's been on since Day 1 of the season.
Golden State is 21-6 at home and 7-21 on the road, the biggest disparity in the league. Even without Steph, I think that they should be heavily favored tonight, especially since the new Lakers don't know how to play with each other yet.
A loss tonight would drop the Lakers to a full 3 games back of OKC (I expect the Jazz to lose tonight in Madison Square Garden). That's a lot to make up, especially since the Lakers will also have to pass up Utah and Portland.
