But I’m glad that he’s found continued success since he left

Jrue's soon to be 2 championships > Paul's big fat 0.

It’s not coincidence that as soon as he went to a good team he put them over the edge and wins two championships. Always loved his game. Hes a difference maker.

Bucks found out grass isn’t always greener. Defense is underrated in the nba, when Jrue can play like that on offense on top of being the best defender on the team.. he’s a better player than Dame. Jrue getting moved twice in the offseason was wild in retrospect, lot left in the tank

Yeah, I don’t understand why Milwaukee sent out Jrue instead of trying to package other players, Jrue with Dame would have been a good tandem at guard for them. It may have been due to Jrue’s uncertainty about continuing to play after his contract was up.

I love the fact that he’s just as good of a person as he is a basketball player. Always wishing him the best!!!

I think Giannis was grumbling after last year and wanted a 2nd scorer and Dame hit the market so they thought it was synchronicity.

Also, loved Jrue in Philly and was ecstatic we got him (and so cheap). Took a lot of shite for supporting him and defending the trade. I'm so happy he's had success after us, especially with how professional he was here.

I’ll always root for Jrue.

Jrue was just in the wrong role as a Pelican. He’s not a #2 guy, but the rest of the nba has seen he’s probably the best #3 guy to have in the nba.

I am happy we were able to get him to places where his talets could be put to good use instead of just wallowing away in mediocrity in the city of New Orleans.

He's found the right role. He's a very good sidekick not meant to the first or second option on offense but can lock down different positions on defense.

He was asked to lead our team when our youngsters arrived and they weren't ready to be 1 or 2 either.

He would have for sure taken this year's team to another level.

My all time favorite Pel. Probably favorite player of all time in general. Pulling for the Celtics solely because of Jrue.

The Jrue hate was always the weirdest hate to me. Dude did nothing but give it his all while he was here. Was constantly asked to do more than he should have had to do.

I wish he was back here. I think he’d be a great compliment to CJ, Zion and Trey. I’m probably going to get downvoted into oblivion, but I wonder if there’s any way we could turn BI into Jrue and a center as part of a three team trade.

While I would love to have Jrue back, some of yal gotta realize how much he's costing them. 4/134.4mil. To be the #3, often times #4 guy.

their top 5 guys combine for 164mil next year. We can't afford that.

Our guys for comparison (131.4mil).

I had no clue his contract was that much. Nevermind.

Sometimes the #5 guy.

Brad Stevens has been a wizard with that roster but I think that new Jrue contract was a mistake/big overpay. It's going to cost them at least Derrick White and DW has been more important for them this year. And I say that as a huge Jrue fan. I'm glad he got paid, but I was really surprised they gave him that much.

Jrue was always one of my favorites, but for some reason he caught flack beginning on the day he was drafted

He’s always been a baller.

Why not?
IT's just money. If you are cometing/winning a championship, it's worth it.

The Celtics only play 7 people anyway. It's all rookie contracts and minimums after those 7.
