First time he'll suit up and play in almost 3 years. Wish him nothing but the best. Good to hear he'll get a chance to play again.

Ball, 26, last played in a game for Chicago on Jan. 14, 2022. Multiple procedures on his left knee since then include a rare double cartilage transplant.
A team official confirmed that the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA draft is on track to debut on Wednesday. This signifies a major comeback to basketball for Ball, who underwent the cartilage transplant surgery in May 2023.

He'll be 27 this year, that's crazy he's lost 3 years and should be entering his prime. hope he pllays well outside of opener.

Rooting for Lonzo. Just because Griff waited too long and made one of the worst trades in NBA history, doesn’t make me want him to be permanently injured or fail.

Ball looked pretty good for a guy who've been away for almost 3 years. He'll most likely be a bench guy for them and will be on some type of minute restrictions but he's looking good in the preseason game right now.

After one quarter (he's on a minutes restriction of 16 minutes total), he's looking good. He's 2 for 2 on this 3s -- one of them was from 2 feet behind the line.
EDIT: He's now blocked Julius Randle from behind and also saved a ball diving out of bounds. I'm really happy for him.
The Bulls look really good, by the way. Our opening game isn't going to be easy.

The Bulls were amazing when Lonzo was healthy for the first third of the year or whatever it was. He went down and they sucked arse the rest of the way, correlation or causation, idk

Always thought he was a pure shooter. Asked to be a pg without a template. Hope he goes off.

Great to see him back on the court.

I don't think anyone who actually watched Lonzo his first 3 years thought "this guy is totally a pure shooter" but his improvements have been awesome and I'm cheering for him. His shot was legit broken, it's crazy to see that completely change.

Lonzo is not a pure shooter, or anythign close to it.
He has become a really good set shooter. Worked his arse off and has gotten really good at that, and props to him for that.
He cannot shoot off the dribble, and he cannot shoot coming off screens. He's only a good shooter when his feet are set and he can catch and shoot.
Jordan Hawkins is a pure shooter. so is CJ.
I wouldn't even say Trey is, even though he has a great stroke.
Pure shooters are guys who rise up with effortless form and release from any situation. Their form and shot is what you show videos of to others on how to shoot. No one would ever teach someone to shoot like Lonzo.

Dude look at high school, ucla, his form was hideous, but didn’t see him trying to run point in the nba. Didn’t say he was shuttlesworth. Just thought he would run and shoot.
Pure shooter
Pure shooter

I hope. But he could run the point if he wanted. I gotta see the staff give him consistent minutes.
