I wish Trey had a knack for movement shooting. It doesn’t seem like he’s quite there yet.

He will get there.

Smart player who is willing to learn with the right attitude.

That is one thing you know about this team.

zion needs to throw those narutos on his feet and get out there for game 6 and 7

suns only favored by 2 in game 6. this is still winnable

he’s definitely been working on it for a while as well. During all star break he was working on that in one of his insta vids. Just takes time until he’s comfortable doing that in a live game

Sure but CJ still has infinitely more gravity than jose, and that's important too.

Cj also has a much better defender on him and is the 2nd guy

I will say they need to switch the offense up when cj has the ball. I feel like he didn't get many good looks this game.

Too many tough shots. The offense didn't flow tonight at all.

Cp3/ayton/bridges/crowder/johnson fit seamlessly on offense.

Cp3 gets them so many open looks and they just knock them down.

They really are a deep team. Pels could use a guy like caruso and malik monk.

He kinda is--the zone they played rendered us to 4 on 5. They weren't guarding Hayes

I'd win game 6 and surprise the suns in game 7.

Zion def wants to play. That is why he keeps throwing down those between. The leg dunks.

I think CJ gets the best looks when Alvarado is in the game with him. Unfortunately they don’t play with each other nearly enough.

He had 2 bad games. Before tonight he was averaging 24/7/6 on 40% from 3.

Games 5 and 6 he’s a combined 1/17 from 3.

He's really only had two good shooting nights in this series when he went 11/23 and scored 30 in game 3 and 7/18 in game 2 scoring 23. Since game 3 he's 15/43 shooting. He was 9/25 in game 1, 8/21 in game 4, and 7/22 tonight. So hes had two good shooting nights out of 5 and only 1 came during a win. He needs to pick it up.

Jose played 20 minutes, Graham played 12. Imagine a world where Jose plays 30 minutes and Graham is lucky to play 2

In the playoffs, ORtg with Jaxson on is 113. 126 when he's off.

With Trey on 136. 110 with Trey off.

There's some small sample size in there, but the eye test shows it too, everything is clogged up and no spacing with Jaxson. Opposite with Trey in.

Jaxson needs exactly 0 minutes the rest of this series.

Treys net rating is +29. Jaxson is -11.

Yeah well the problem is that’s not going to happen

Zion ain’t playing fellas. Griff knows we’re playing with house money and doesn’t want to waste the momentum if Z somehow gets hurt.

This is a good point.

I don't know how many mins trey is averaging for the series but he does stand around on offense.

You do need his shooting and he has been active on defense.
I really like Shamit but i think him posting +/- numbers has convinced a lot of the fanbase that just throwing Trey out there, even when he's providing nothing on the stat sheet, is the key to us winning. Think of it from our coaches' perspective. You're watching a rookie out there, timid, afraid of the ball, and providing no production. You really looking at what you're seeing out of him and leaving him in there because his +/- numbers look good?

Trey's gonna be a really good player. But right now he's only a stand still catch and shoot guy. You're not gonna be able to stand in one spot all possession and get open shots in the playoffs, against a defense like the Suns.

Actually watch Trey on the court. He's scared out of his mind out there. They were screaming at him to move around tonight. He gets out there and literally freezes in the half court.

Outside of CJ, he has been the biggest disappointment to me. He was money down the stretch and in the play in games. Looked like he was ready to take that next step. He’s been kinda blah the whole series. But he’s a rook.

Honestly, nothing on the boxscore and an insane net rating is better than nothing on the boxscore and an awful net rating, right?

That's Jax vs Trey, fwiw.

Offensive rating and defensive rating are significantly improved when Trey is out there. Shamit is using more than just +\- as to why Trey should be out there more.

Have to find a way for Val, Herb, and Hayes to be more involved. Pelicans need easier shots can’t bank on hitting tough shots all game.
