I flipped the game on. Saw they were down by a billion. Turned it off. Damn.

Zion and Missi seem like the odd men out. It was close until Missi/ Zion/ Jose/ Poole came in for Queen/ Fears/ Bey/ Herb. Went from up 3pts to down 9pts fast.

Yeah Karlo is so much better than Missi and can actually shoot a little. I would make Karlo the permanent backup 5

Its what I told you initially before the season started. Rox lack 3pt shooting and Sengeun is soft as baby shite. Always has been.

Kind of crazy considering Willie treated Karlo like a gleaguer and Missi like a core guy. And Borrego is now trying to find more minutes to fit Karlo in while Missi's minutes has slowly been reduced.

Oh really?

They played their worst half of basketball this season. That’s why they lost.

The problem is volume.

Your team is 30th in the league in 3 point shots made. You guys take good shots and the right players generally takes them but the volume needs to increase by the team.

They’re 9th in TS% and 3rd in offensive rating and 1st in offensive rebounding by far. They don’t *need* to shoot more 3’s. Their offense works in other ways.

Bey is just a much better player than I realized. He’s a great complimentary player.

I feel like he’s exactly who we wanted James posey/solomon hill/mo Peterson to be when we desperately needed a sf to complete the team.

What was the largest deficit and when's the last time we overcame a deficit that large?

Tied.

The cushion was enough to allow New Orleans to match the largest comeback in club history. The Pelicans also overcame a 25-deficit while beating the Utah Jazz 123-119 in overtime this year on Jan. 20.

Agree, but to do that you've got to have a feel for the game. Some coaches, like some military commanders, have a set plan and can't improvise based on real-time conditions. With Borrego you see a guy reading the flow of the game, constantly assessing what's going on and how his team is responding. It's a big part of the value added by NBA coaches and something the Pels sorely lacked under Coach Green.

I tried to tell people when the trade happened that the dudes best game was 51 pts at 22-23 y/o. He's only 26 and missed a whole year with injuries. If he is capable of 51 that early then I'm enticed to see what prime Bey from 27+ is capable of.

The fact that even during this 3 game stretch, players minutes were shifted depending on the circumstance told you enough.

Bey - 30, 25, 34
Fears - 25, 28, 20
Queen - 35, 25, 35
Herb - 15, 20, 38
Alvarado - 23, 18, 30

How many times did we see hot players taken out because of set rotations with Willie?

It's like he was a scared robot. He had a script and he couldn't deviate due to lack of creativity and fear of player reactions.
