Love definitely had an off game and i can see why he's not mocked higher.
He's almost like Austin Rivers with a much better shot from the outside. He can get to the goal on anyone, but he just doesn't know how to use his athleticism and touch well enough to finish at a higher rate.

still think the 2nd round is too low for him. He's got potential, and going to a good team in the 20's would be a good spot for him to develop.

My top 10 for Pels would be:
1. Chet
2. Jabari
3. Banchero
4. Ivey
5. Sharpe
6. Mathurin
7. Davis
8. Murray
9. Griffin
10. Sochan or Eason

He does not play smart at all. He has not been good most of the season.

I don’t think Griffin is stiff, he is just a little heavy bottomed. Not flashy athletically but he shows dexterity with both hands, plays with good pace, and is super strong. His shooting ability makes him a key for other defenses immediately. I don’t think he’s any less of an athlete than at Jimmy Butler

yikes. that's a rough stat.

Ok then, i clearly see why Love is a 2nd round prospect.

I really don’t understand why people don’t have Duren and Mark Williams on their Pels’ wish lists. We need a backup center, and Jonas is not a spring chicken. Both those guys immediately give us a level of rim protection that we currently don’t have.

As for the person bringing up that neither are outside threats, I think Mark Williams can develop AT LEAST a reliable 16-18 footer. He shoots 73% from the line and his shot looks smooth. He just isn’t asked to shoot outside 8 feet because Duke has so many other talented options.

b/c drafting bigs that aren't the top pick overall is one of the biggest crapshoots in the draft, and drafting them around 10th is almost always a dumb decision.

You can go get a cheap FA to be a backup center. drafting someone to be a backup 5, or just being a 5 that can't score in the top 10 of the draft is beyond stupid unless you are drafting Embiid or AD.

Alright…Now that we are essentially going to be in the 8 slot in the lottery… I think Ivey is the target. Whether we hit top 4 or have to package Kira and a pick to move up 4 spots.

We have elite athletes at every position except guard. You are going to be battling Morant for the next 10 years. Its like in the NFL if an elite wr is in your division you draft someone who can run with him.

I like Ivey, but that would likely take an additional unprotected first(likely the Lakers at this point) to move up(possibly more), and if someone like Sharpe declares, I'm not convinced that Ivey is going to be worth just standing pat and taking Griffin/Sharpe/Mathurin, all who have all star ceilings as well.

Especially when guys like Scoot Henderson, Anthony Black, and Victor Wembanyama are coming out next year, and that Lakers pick probably will have another 25% chance of hitting the jackpot next year.

if we are at 8-10, and don't trade the pick...

We are picking Ochai Agbaji.

Look at last year's draft for us (all upperclassmen including Jose), and what teams generally do once they have their stars in place. They generally go for upperclassmen and "win now" players.

Barring someone crazy falling, they are taking Agbaji. Senior, on a great team, winning experience at highest level, shooting potential, positional need.

Bunch could you imagine the playoff Celtics, with their hoards of draft picks, drafting buddy hield or Kris Dunn instead of Jaylen brown & jayson Tatum & what that franchise would look like right now

Nah. They need to go high upside with this pick. Not raw and inexperienced but a skilled high potential prospect.

We really have no major holes on the roster and the draft pick isn’t going to play very much with the current roster. They should not take a high floor-low ceiling guy with this pick.

Yap. Not all 1 & done’s are Jaxson Hayes. You draft more to playable skill than you do to age or experience. And some guys have nba-ready skills that lend them to playing sooner than later.

Not that I dislike Ochai. He could be the best player available but I don’t think experience Sr is the strategy

Would not mind sharpe at 8 at all. He was the #1 prospect coming out of HS. If he played a game in college, he would have been definitely a top 3 pick.
