We need him firing off as many shots as Curry to stay afloat

Curry isn't even shooting that many this season. Their scheme is designed to deliberately get shots up from deep or at the basket at a high rate whereas we rely on two high volume guys to draw gravity towards the basket in hopes of getting an open shot for the shooters as a secondary option. That's always been the issue with the system. It's over reliant on these guys to create space when the system should create space with actions/play designs that every player who gets on the court can execute. Even when we have shooters, we are very inconsistent about volume because of the design of the offense is primitive and one dimensional for the most part.

And the worst part is we waste possession by deliberately creating shots for players who have no business shooting the ball and do it at the worst possible time. It's just dumb basketball. It's like everyone has an equal opportunity because Willie likes his blue chip players and want them to feel like they are a weapon.

Our only hope is to get healthy and Murray controls the game and makes the right plays so we get some consistency with volume.

oh, you know it's coming... we gonna get Trey and Herb back, but Zion will still be out, then BI's annual injury stint is coming up... like clockwork

Injury timeline, reduced the weeks based on when initial injury & timeline:
Murray: 2-4 weeks away Maybe back vs Phoenix (Dec 5)
Jones: 1-3 weeks away - Maybe back vs Toronto (Nov 27)
Hawkins: 1-2 weeks away - Maybe back vs GSW (Nov 22)
McCollum: 1-2 weeks away - Maybe back vs GSW (Nov 22)
Zion: load management TBD
Murphy: back Monday

So if all goes well, we should be good in 12 games
Dec 5 @ home vs Phoenix

So Shamit on his show stated he’s reached out to the organization especially after Zion sat out against the Magic. And people in the organization told him that Zion is trying to play through something physical. Thats why its touch and go every game he can play. If thats the case, wouldn’t it make sense just to sit him until hes ready? Obviously im not high on Willie but how do you even get a gameplan ready when on gameday your best player says Im not playing today?

If you’re a fan of this team for any period of length you know this can’t be a REAL dependable timeline unfortunately. But we can all hope this is true.

to get trey back we had to sacrifice zion

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that forward Zion Williamson has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain. Medical imaging taken this morning confirmed the injury. Williamson will be out indefinitely and further updates will be appropriately provided.

Watch we gain Murphy and then lose Ingram right after. Most cursed franchise ever.

All I heard all summer is Trey is better than BI and we are better with him starting over BI.

You want a hot take. We”re better with Trey starting at the 4 than the out of shape fatass who doesn’t play defense and can’t shoot 3s and turns the ball over well above average.

I think we’re better with Trey and Zion. But Zion has conditioning issues and is never healthy. From a talent standpoint if both healthy and in shape Trey and Zion fit perfectly in today’s basketball world. But because of Zion we’ll never really see it happen.
