I agree, just pointing out that he was on his list as well but he came back replacing Bell. I never wanted him back

Don't recall the specifics of the entire drive, but that TD was over Harper & a LBer (Shanle?). Jenkins was on the other side of the field on that play.

I'm not saying he would be good at it, I have no opinion on the matter. Was just calling out the guy for saying he'd get blasted when it was a single response asking a question

Drafting a slot corner/safety at 8 is the definition of insanity.

He can leave. He played lazy on a few plays. He isn't worth the money.

I don't know why people say this, it's burned into my memory.

Jenkins was man to man on Davis with 40 seconds left and he caught it on him around the NO 35 down to the SF 20 or something. Game was practically over before the TD was thrown

Except for the fact that if they are able to defend that TD play, they force a FG to tie and get to go to OT.
Both offenses were clicking at that point, so no question whoever got the ball first most likely was getting the TD there. But, to say Jenkins single handedly cost the SB there???

Did a quick search of "the play". Jenkins lost inside position on an attempted jam. VD catches the slant about 12 yards upfield with Jenkins in a trail position (he was a lot slower than Davis).

LOS was the 33 at the snap, Harper was guarding the other 40; took a terrible angle letting David run an extra 20 yards before Jenkins drags him OOB. Yes, Jenkins was the one in coverage on Davis, but Harper was 25+ yards off the ball and took a terrible angle once Davis had possession.

We will pay Kool-aid when the time comes. If Quincy Riley and Sanker stay on an upward trajectory, I believe we will pay them.
Taylor is more like Adebo. Good player but we know his flaws. We have a good idea about his ceiling and it’s NOT as a #1 corner. The market is so desperate for CB’s that he will be overpaid. Great for him but Saints need to be smart where they invest as the roster gets younger.

Sure but Jenkins lost that game by giving up that huge yardage chunk and demoralizing the defense. Can’t do that in that moment

Lost in all this is that there were rumors that he was option #2 for the Colts if they didn't get Sauce. That tells me what I need to know about what the Saints will do with him this offseason.

Bad coaching did this. Defense should have held the receivers at the line of scrimmage. Would have been a 5 yard penalty. Do it twice and time would have ran out on them.

The game cannot end on a defensive penalty

Well I meant they would have only had time to throw a Hail Mary at the end. We were trying to defend them from getting into fg range also when that play happened. A completely different defense would have been setup at the end. Coaching cost us that game at the end.

It possibly could’ve altered the outcome, no way to say. But Marcus Williams for sure whiffed on that tackle and cost us a championship.

Just like Malcolm Jenkins

No chance I’m paying him like a #1 corner.

Letting Taylor walk would be a massive failure by Loomis.

You cannot replicate his snaps on defense with anyone else on this roster.

If his deal becomes too expensive, draft Downs and you most likely upgrade. Then go WR in second and the Guard from ga Tech in the third.

I’d overpay to keep him. We’ve seen a lot of solid defensive guys leave over the years. Our qb room is the cheapest in the league. You need to built an elite defense while you have that edge. Not a good defense but an elite one. We aren’t far off if we can retain what we have and hit on a couple of picks
