6-7 wins would be a tremendous performance for this team.
Keep in mind the team just leveraged another future year of cap issues in order to have this opportunity to win 6 or 7 games.

Your 6 biggest cap hits in ‘25, not counting Ram
Average age: 34

% of your 2026 cap: 46.6
This is the recipe to going nowhere. This is the shite yall are defending Loomis for

Yes, definitely go for the best player available in the draft.
I just hope that Moore is not a yes man and actually gets a chance to run things the way he wants to do it.
It's still real too early to tell if that's going to be the case or not, but I'd be very disappointed if it felt like he wasn't doing his own thing.
I don't know. That's just my opinion.

I had optimism when they hired Moore, but not anymore. Mrs Benson has retained the people who consistently bring this franchise down. She is content with winning 7 or 8 games a year.
If she was serious about this franchise she would have wiped the FO along with the Allen. Lots of fans would be understanding that sometimes you just have to burn it all down before it gets better. Its been time but she refuses to do it. It wouldnt be over night but people would see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Loomis kicking these contracts down the line will only hurt them for years to come.
Screw the Saints!!!

What I am hoping for is we draft McMillian in the first
Man I hope not. Think he’s really going to struggle with getting separation that isn’t contested catches. Not really something I want to spend really high draft capital on as that’s tough to predict in the league.

It’s really just bizarre. If you want to be an optimist and hope for the best I can get that….but the people still defending Mickey’s approach, I don’t get.
But bonethug scurries off when you press him to highlight anything good Mickey has done since Payton left.

Problem is our best players are for the most part very old.

Too many people lump basically the last 20 years together.

If there is an older, more expensive, less impactful core in the NFL I’d like to see it
When your defense starts with, “since 2006…” you know things are fricked.

We will make little to no FA moves bc we have no cap space. We are relying on current roster and the draft.. yes that’s wild to think about.
Coaches are only able to do so much. It takes playmakers. Which we have very few.

Now do this for every other team and see how many are similar? Unless the team has a drafted QB in his 2nd contract, most will have similar results, since guys late into their 2nd or into their 3rd contracts tend to have the highest salaries.
No the other dude at least said our BEST players are old, which is a more valid argument, but some of our best players are also sub 28 as well. And again if you look at most teams this will also be the case.

Tbh the Saints would be more successful if sold. I could say the same for the Pels. Mismanaged and no care in the world if we perform well. No incentive for the owners or GMs.

But it has been 3 years since Payton left, and I was always on the bandwagon of frick Allen because he is a great db coach, good dc with a HUGE flaw (3rd and longs), and a terrible head coach. My hope was the roster could outplay his stupidity, and we almost did those first 2 years, but this last year we also had an absurd numbers of games missed from starters (mostly our better ones to boot).
But even if we look at since 2020, we still aren't a laughing stock like some of these other teams (we are dead smack in the middle at 17th and far from the shite shows of the nfl).
Some of those teams show at the bottom no matter what period you put in. Even in our worst teams we have been mediocre at worst. Woe is us!
I'm willing to see what a non Allen staff can do. If we fail again these next 2 years then sure, blow it all up. But I'm pretty confident with the new staff and expect immediate results, even with our old arse roster of has beens and a joke of a gm that only ever makes bad decisions and couldn't count his way out of a paper bag.
