1st rd will be DE. Bain with current line will be a force on 3rd and 6.
2nd pick will be slot corner. Miami or Tennessee CB would replace Taylor. I don't think Kool-aid is No. 1 corner. We can't fix roster in one draft.
3rd pick is a WR. Rest of picks are OG, OC, LB, and Vandy QB in 5th rd. He will be replace Hill's role. It's not best, picks will add depth in needed positions.

Great strategy! Zone in on a specific position at each specific round no matter who is available. Just reach every round. What could possibly go wrong there?

Kool-Aid is a number 1 corner? He hasn’t shown that

This needs to end.

There is no "Hill's role" anymore.

This coaching staff is not building an offense around a unicorn player that no one in the league has been able to reproduce, including the Saints who had the unicorn.

If you do not think Kool-Aid is a #1 corner, (and I happen to agree) Then you draft Delane at #8 and let Riley and Kool-Aid compete for the #2 CB and NB positions. Monsoor Delane was the best CB in college football in 2025 and he had zero help form the Dline creating a pass rush.

2nd and 3rd rounds will produce quality pass rushers and WR's

There’s too many bad points to address. So I just downvoted and am posting this picture.

I like the idea taken Bain, Styles, or Bailey (whichever one drops to us) in the first round. I agree with that. But the second round I would go wide receiver, because I don't see there being many of the top ones lasting much past round 2 (we need a starter and pretty big drop off past top 8 wrs if trying to get a solid starter) and there's some pretty damn good safeties and cornerbacks that will probably last till round 3.

Only 20 down votes are not that bad.

You made “Winnie's Mock Draft 3.0” more palatable.

Many opposing views for the Kool-Aid man. I've met people who are confident he can't be a #1 and others who act like he could have been 1st team All Pro last year.

McKinstry logged a 71.4 PFF coverage grade, the highest mark on the Saints’ defense. From Weeks 10 through 18, McKinstry posted an 83.8 PFF coverage grade, the third-highest figure in the NFL. Top 10 amongst CB in INTs and solo tackles. Third youngest player on our roster too

He’s not Darrell revis but we’d be very lucky if a drafted CB is better than Kool Aid

yeah, the advanced stats on Pro Football reference had Kool Aid with the lowest completion rate allowed on the team.

volume based obviously.

58.7%

Riley was 59.6%

I think that is encouraging but just wonder those numbers would look like if the Saints' run defense wasn't so middling/poor. I mean just to be fair.

that is where teams hurt the Saints more last year on defense mostly because they were playing with the lead. The Saints were a bad 1st quarter team and rarely set the tone/tempo.

Both players are still pretty young and need more time to develop until I can really start having a strong opinion or either.
