Saints wouldn't been that bad off if Winston was the starter. It's Rattler show next year, we can find a QB in 26. Saints must get cap fix. No playoffs without getting cap under control.

Carr isn't terrible and occasionally he makes very great throws.
It's just at the end of the day to me anyway he's uninspiring.

I understand, but he’s played his entire career with the Raiders, one of the most dysfunctional teams and the Dennis Allen Saints, who without CSP in the fold, are almost as bad.
Look at Jimmy G. He had a win percentage higher than Montana and Young as a starter under two upper tier organizations.
Goes to the Raiders and he was benched. And is a backup now.

I don't know what to say to that because I want to believe but I just don't see it. I'm leaning to cut bait and give one of the young guys a season.

Derek Carr is not the future of this team so he needs to go. Cut him and eat the $40 million this year. The following year we will be flush with money as bad contracts come off the books. He’s a perpetual middle of the road starter that will get you 7-10 wins a year but nothing else.

their offense finished 12th in scoring but his completion was only 60%
plus, the Dennis Allen defense shut him and the Raiders out 24-0 with Andy Dalton at QB for the Saints. And yet..........................
Dennis Allen wanted Derek Carr who then to no fault of his own had his contract reworked and hurt the Saints salary cap.

It’s what I’ve been saying since Brees retired to do. Go super cheap at qb until we get our cap in order. It was the only way out of this mess Loomis created and he’s put it off another 4 years and we still in the hole.
None of you guys understand how the cap works and what dead cap space is. If you cut Carr and bring back Winston we would be paying more with Winston salary and the dead cap from Carr being cut.
