You'd find racism in an oreo. Get the frick out of here with this nonsense

The owners that have told their teams to stand did so BEFORE any boycotts started.
You got backup to either one of these claims?

Of course not. He's just trying to gain street cred by taking the oppressed black man approach.

Houston's owner told the media "you don't let the prisoners run the prison"
There couldn't be a more blatant statement that this isn't about the country or the anthem that this is about the owners not liking that black guys have a platform.
Like I said before, if it was about the anthem or the country then all the people that were mad would be ok with the saints kneeling before the anthem. The fact that people are still mad at that shows that it's not about the patriotism, it's about not wanting to hear the players opinions at all.
If you are still mad at the saints for kneeling before the anthem then it's pretty clear that your mad that black guys won't shut their mouths and dance like the trained monkeys you want them to be.
Idk how many times I can say that I in no way support the protests, I'm just not gonna let them affect me.

Why would the owners of any business want their employees to use their business as a platform to protest?

sure about that? I seem to remember a whole lot more people kneeling before fans quit showing up and watching
You’re not sure either, the kneeling increased even more over the past weekend.

Comparing a professional sports organization and it's employees to the Dairy Queen down the street is apples to oranges
Dairy Queen can just fire their employee and replace them with similarly skilled people, the NFL can't. There are only so many people on this planet with the size and skill of the athletes playing in the NFL. If the teams fire the players, they can't go find people that will play at the same level as the stars of this league.
The players get to pull their kneeling stunt because the reality is that the owners need the players just as much, if not more, than the players need the owners.
So while I generally agree that a business owner shouldn't stand for their employees protesting on their time, the NFL is an exception to that rule.

how bout you frick off
the kneeling posts and ratings posts will ONLY stop when the players stop kneeling and forcing politics in our football

I'm 56. No fricks given about what jocks do before a game. The national obsession is hilarious.

People stopped kneeling because it wasn't special and unique anymore, the things drama queens/attention whores desire. Whenever some makes a stupid comment (Trump tweet and Texans owner) it brings attention back to them so they do it more. It's literally a real life example of ignore them and they go away.

Im starting to hate the players that are kneeling, They all have charities they funnel their money through to use as a platform.
They have made more money than the average person in one year than them working 10-15 years.
Their all kneeling for different reasons.
Their in the clubs partying, and laying low in their free time.
Not on the streets trying to actively change problems that have plagued the black communities.
Then Choose to use the national anthem as an appropriate time to "protest"
**** them.

This is true. Shut up, play the game, then help be a solution for the problems you are protesting. Work to help the black inner cities improve and become safer, and people will listen to what you have to say. Don't talk about being underprivileged when making 19 Million per year while giving nothing back to help fix the problems.
No way Warrick Dunn kneels and I respect the heck out of that guy. Not because of his athletic skill but because of the way he's given back to help change lives. Don't

Or we could just stop the “stop the kneeling posts” threads.

I'm 22 and I care. Maybe if the people kneeling weren't engaging in hypocrisy, and actually conveyed what they were protesting for, I could find it more tasteful. But to kneel for no reason other than because the movement is in vogue really gets on my nerves.
I am giving you a break because you are only 22, but if you pay attention, many of the kneelers are practicing what they preach. I

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. I can't control whether or not a pro athlete stands or kneels during the national anthem. I can, however, control myself. I'm not gonna let the actions of others take football away from me.
One person won't make a difference; however, one person joined by millions of others can change the course of history. I'm glad our country did NOT have to depend on you when we had to fight the British for our Independence.
I love the Saints. I used to watch 5 NFL games per week. I refuse to support a group of overly paid athletes to disrespect our flag. Kneeling during the anthem is disrespectful to anyone who shed blood for our great nation.
These kneelers claim that their "intention" is to spread unity. Our flag represents the UNITED Stated of America. The flag is our national symbol of unity. If you want to spread unity, then you stand for the anthem, place your hand over your heart, and show reverence to the flag of our country.
It is unbelievable how poorly educated these kneelers really are.
God, Family, country (Flag is national symbol of unity), community, then Saints.

Kapernick knelt as a sign of respect to the military. Specifically those who lost their lives.
quote:
"We sorta came to a middle ground where he would take a knee alongside his teammates," Boyer says. "Soldiers take a knee in front of a fallen brother's grave, you know, to show respect. When we're on a patrol, you know, and we go into a security halt, we take a knee, and we pull security."
Asked by Gumbel if Kap was "receptive" to his ideas, Boyer described him as "very receptive."

Nothing like some good ole forced patriotism.

They're kneeling before the anthem now so why are you bitching?
I can see the outrage and understand both sides when there's kneeling during the anthem. But outrage because of the team kneeling before the game just doesn't make sense. Who gives a frick?
