Damnit. I had "ambrosia" as part of the list at one point, but thought I was including too many edibles.

I would think that most of us octogenarians enjoy the carrot souffle from Piccadilly.

These are the 10 things old people liked in the 1980s

As a not old yet man back in the 80's, you may be partially right

quote:

1. figs (????)
2. boxes of tissue (seems more female than old issue)
3. westerns (George Costanza "Is that wrong" issue)
4. candy orange slices (????, more like hard candy aka "penny candy")
5. peanut brittle (all generations but Stuckey's made it Southern by the masses)
6. chiuahahs (no, just no)
7. Readers Digest (all ages, both the magazine and the "condensed books")
8. handkerchiefs (never out of fashion for a true Southern Man)
9. local news (never out of style)
10. Buicks (sensible middle age and old age folks, usually workers)

Good Lord. TV Stereotype much?

At what age do you consider a person an old person?

I’m 68 and none of those things are high on my list of things that I like much.

And not all old people are fricking commies

My Paw loved all of those. But he’s not old……he dead. My daddy old. He likes drinking Jim Beam and bitching about Trump.

If you really watch a good western you will see elements of Shakespeare in them.

Define old, because I like none of them

I'm 83 and I could live without all those things.
After watching a few Westerns on You Tube, I decided only the faces change, the conflict is almost the same in all of them.

As an older person, (86) I've always wished to be the last man living...just so I can see if all those women were lying!

If you’re referring to Boomers, you forgot to include an insatiable appetite for debt and ridiculous borrowing.

Man, I totally disagree….boomers are more likely to save up for things they want than any other generation.

A lot of them have never even had a credit card!
