Lights out all over. I'm in North Shore and my wife is in Richmond.

But our lights are home(Atascocita) are still on.

Why no Tesla wall?

Been waiting on equipment. I missed the PowerWall3 beta test because I didn’t have the PV lined up yet. PV is coming later this year and I’ll have a different storage setup. I’ll leave the generator and let the ats control the loads. It’ll be overkill but a doomsday setup.

146,000 Centerpoint outages now. Started the day with 500 total so this is clearly more than a regular storm.

415,000 in DFW

Was back in Houston for the first time in a while this weekend. Entire city was smokey/smoggy? And the area I was in was torn up from the last derecho. Now it's happening again?

Smoke from Mexico. It’s crop burning season. This is the worst year for it I’ve seen since I moved here 8 years ago.

In South Louisiana this morning it was about as humid as I have ever felt it.
Going to be a brutal summer. More people picking up on the Hunga Tonga eruption connection. Appears to be verifying.

It is a regular storm coming on the heels of an extraordinary storm that weakened the grid and still hasn't been fully recovered from.

It is a valid word and been around for a long time. There is a technical definition with parameters that must be met before a given storm is considered a "derecho". The word gets thrown around too often when it isn't valid.

Yeah dude I really noticed the difference between it being 90.6 degrees instead of 90.5!

The model calculated the monthly change in Earth's energy balance caused by the eruption and showed that water vapor could increase the average global temperature by up to 0.035°C over the next 5 years.
