Saw the body of a guy in a suit laying between the street and sidewalk at about 6am on Rampart just off of Canal. NOPD pulled up right as we were walking by. I guess someone had already called and reported it.

I haven't thankfully. Many years ago (around 1990) my older brother and his girlfriend who were in high school at the time were in the parking lot of a popular river hangout where we grew up one morning and noticed a man who seated in the driver seat of his car. He was slumped over the steering wheel with the engine off. They alerted the cops. Turned out the guy was dead from carbon monoxide.
My dad had a house in Tuscaloosa during the April 2011 tornado outbreak and drove by a fire station a couple of days after the tornado to drop off some bottled water. A couple of the fireman asked if he could assist them for a while during a search and rescue to relieve one of the fellow fireman who had been working non-stop and had a wife in labor in the hospital. He went with them and ended up helping carry three deceased tornado victims which he wasn't prepared for. He simply went up there to drop off supplies and wasn't prepared for it. He was traumatized by the experience because one victim was a college student and another was even younger.

When I was about 12, we heard a rumor that a stranger had been accidentally killed a few towns over, so without telling our parents, 3 of my friends and I decide to go see the body. On the way, we got stuck on a railroad bridge. Right when we were in the middle, we heard a train coming. Man, we ran as fast as we could, and one of our friends just barely made it before the train hit him. It was really close. Then we encountered a junk man with a scary Doberman that chased us and had to cross a marsh full of leeches. During the trio we learned a lot about one another and our very different home lives. It was just a lark at first, but it evolved into a defining event in our lives. We lost touch after that, and I never saw those guys again. A few years later, one guy died of an OD. Our fat friend lost a bunch of weight and married a pretty hot actress. And one guy just kind of drifted because he couldn’t get a job. The body was gross.

long story short. My gf didn't answer her phone or the door at her house. The next day the same. I called the police and we did a wellness check. I broke in and because the cop was too fat to get in I went to the bedroom and found her.
She was on her back in bed and was dead for a day or so. To be honest it looked like she was just sleeping to be honest. A little drool on the side of her mouth. She had been having seizures and may have had one while no one was around. She was only 45.
My mom wanted to die at home so we let her. That was tough when I woke and she was gone one morning.

Found a dead guy while on a hunt in Canada. They had been looking for him for months. Supposedly a town drunk, so yeah, I have stumbled up on a dead guy.

I saw a body in the Mississippi River in Memphis. Turned out to be a fairly famous musician, but for a bit we weren’t sure if it was a human. He’d been in the river several days.
Jeff Buckley?

My godfather.
Was asked to do a welfare check.
He was sitting in his chair watching TV when he passed.

Good friend of mine's parents divorced around 1995 and the dad moved to a foreign country.
Well, my friend got a call from one of the dad's neighbors saying they weren't able to get in touch with his dad so my friend drove to his dad's house.
Come to find out, his dad had moved to a tiny cabin in the sticks, had a heart attack in the bathroom and fell against the door. He was a burly dude to begin with so they had to literally chop the door down to get to him
Not an ideal way to see your dad for the last time

I went looking for a missing man in Fort Collins last Sunday. He had been missing 6 days and went missing in a lake/river area. I searched the river banks in the park around 8 am sunday and they found his body in the lake around 10 am. Had I searched the lake instead of the river I probably would have stumbled upon him. Kind of glad I didnt.

When I lived in CO I was driving home from mountain biking down a winding canyon road and came upon an accident scene. There were a few others there already but no emergency workers yet. I got out and there was a car upside down in the creek a good distance below. One woman was out of the car and being taken care of up on the road. There was still a man trapped in the car and some kayakers were trying to get him out.
Eventually they managed to free him or the water pushed him out, I'm not sure, but he went shooting down the river at a pretty good clip, clearly unconscious. Me and another guy ran and got ahead of him and then jumped in the creek and pushed him into an eddy. I held him against the bank while the other guy started CPR with a sheriff's deputy who had arrived. One look at him and I knew it was hopeless though. A short time later the swift water rescue guys showed up and told those of us without wetsuits to get the frick out the water. I climbed back up to the road and found a motorcycle club directing traffic as a helicopter came in. weird afternoon.

I saw a few get killed. Does that count?

I was in my 20s and was running some errands. Came up on an accident right as the police got there where a car had clipped a motorcycle and the motorcyclist had been thrown several feet from his bike. Given how he was contorted (legs don't bend like that) and the blood he was definitely dead. Had to pass the same way about 30 minutes later and the body was covered in a white sheet.

I haven't stumbled across any yet, but when my old man was a teenager he found three in two different incidents in the 1960's.
The first was when he was about 13 years old. He was walking down a dirt road a couple of miles from his house to go squirrel hunting outside of Abita Springs. He sees this car parked on the side of the road, and sees a man and a woman inside that he thinks are asleep. He knocks on the window and nothing happens. He decides to go home, and tells my grandfather. He goes out there, and realizes that they are indeed dead and calls the Sheriff's office. Turns out whoever they were plugged up the exhaust system and asphyxiated themselves.
The second incident happened the summer my old man was 17, and was working at a lumberyard in Covington. On his lunch break, he goes over to the Bogue Falaya park to eat. He walks down to the river, and sees this dead woman floating face down, partially washed up on the bank. He found a groundskeeper, tells him what he found, and the cops are called.
A cousin of mine found my aunt dead in bed. She had died in her sleep. Apparent heart attack.
That's all I got.

First time was driving through a mountain highway by my house. I drove by a downed motorcycle and the guy must have lost control on a turn and slammed into the guard rail. His neck was twisted in a weird way and he was white as ghost. Found out when I made it down the mountain that he died.
Second time, was my commute to work. Traffic was going slow and I drove up on a dead body. He jumped from the over pass and was clearly dead. Luckily I came upon it after he jumped.
