Yeah but she's going to pay the "trial tax" if found guilty. It's the norm for courts to hand out much, much heftier sentences than wha's offered for pre-trial plea bargains.

The defense and state acknowledged shortcomings on the part of the lead investigator who testified at a preliminary hearing that due to a programming mishap some evidence and audio recordings were accidentally deleted. Yikes!
