I guess I’m stupid but if it’s hitting Hawaii within 3 hours I would assume Japan would be much sooner

I'm unsure of the accuracy of this projection, but the tsunami doesn't seem like that big of a deal for most of the US, including Hawaii. Maybe a half a meter at most? I'm ignorant of all this, so I could be wrong.
