Still not showing super cold on BR's forecast on WeatherUnderground. OTOH, once temps start dropping on 12/31, we won't be above 42 degrees for a full frigging week. Basically bouncing between 35/25 all week. Crappy, cold-arse shite.

Any models showing a dip below 20 degrees?

That's super cold for south Louisiana. Like 20+ degrees below average for a week.

The teens are stuck up to the north of Baton Rouge.

Weather channel app is saying a low of 20 in Madisonville Monday night. Four consecutive nights of 27 or below.

Is New Orleans getting much rain Sunday night? Looks the chances have started to decrease.

Doesn't look too bad. Light. Moves in fast and kicks out fast. It's only going to be 50s in front of the cold front, so it's not going to have a ton of pre frontal moisture to work with and it's bone dry behind the front.

Fireworks are pretty much going to be a go across SELa, but it'll be breezy and getting cold.

Good thing I have 8 inches for your wife.

But in all seriousness, it looks like we will get cold weather. Yes colder than normal for a bit longer than normal. But it doesn’t look like the shite the models had been throwing out earlier. I wanted more snow personally.

Happens with weather and is by far the best result. Snow on top of the airmass would have us below freezing for days...with ice/snow on the ground. Nobody wants that.

I’d like to see snow in NOLA but looks like the moisture is pulling out before that.
