Just so we are clear. My OP referenced the Big Bend region as a whole...

New plans to build a border wall through one of country’s iconic national parks, Big Bend National Park, risk permanent damage to the area.
No.
No it didn’t.

Bonus points if it makes a pussy like you cry.

Even though I posted a recent article stating the crossing in Big Bend are trending down and statistically zero.
12,000 a year is not statistically zero.

Maybe you and your leftist comrades shouldn’t have encouraged illegal aliens to cross our borders. This is only being considered because of the policies you and your democrat plantation owners supported during the Biden administration. You and your anti-American comrades are the reason this has to be discussed as an option so go look in the mirror, libtard

I’m going to call my congressman and tell him to not only build the wall, but make it 10’ taller and covered in electrified concertina wire and surrounded on both sides with a dense 100 yard deep minefield.

I can’t see this getting put through. That is such a remote area and has never been a hot point for crossings. It is very inhospitable to crossings due to the natural terrain. The cost because of the location alone is prohibitive. Big Bend is a spectacular natural treasure.

quote:First, you dont where the wall will be built specifically., you're just hyperventilating at this point. 11,823 people will result in 8000 that will never go home, so, yeah it's an issue.
You border wall idiots want to ruin a beautiful national park for 11,823 people crossing?

My son and dau in law went to Big Bend National Park. He said that there was a "mexican goods store" on the US side of the river that was "unmanned". It had several different hand made items from Mexico. There was a "'bucket" for someone to leave money in for items they wanted to buy. He said there were a group of people on the Mexico side watching the "store". Whenever they needed to resupply, they walked across the river and brought more stuff and picked up the money. Sounds like they need a wall in that area at least.

I guess since it's so remote and desolate as you say, having a wall put up there to keep the illegals out isn't going to matter since no one will see it.
If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Good lord you are acting like a huge pussy
The park is over 1,200 square miles
Its larger than the state of Rhode island
You wouldn’t see the wall from 99% of the park
Stop falling for stupid political click bait

Not leftist or a comrade nor have I ever encouraged illegal migration. Try again. 0 for 1.

I'm a proud American and an ardent supporter of our National Park system. I give to several parks throughout the year and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Our national parks are our greatest treasure and we should do all we can to protect and preserve the wild places for future generations. 0 for 3.
Good job being completely incorrect, friend. Go touch grass and visit nature and you just might be awed by the magic of the wild places.

It is altogether remote, desolate, essentially uncrossable, and home to thriving American communities.
This is liberal logic in action.

Then you should care about preserving our country and not destroying it with open borders. Look at Europe.
If there is no America there are no national parks.

Ha. Exactly.
"It (an inhospitable desert with extremely high temperatures with little water or cover from the sun) has a special place in my heart. We do not need a border wall that will ruin this magical place (full of stories of people dying inside the park.)" - jclem11

A majority of the political board thinks The Lorax is a romance novel. There’s nothing sacred to them.

Go review a map and let me know where staging similar to the photographs you shared would happened on the Mexican side of big bend and get back to us.
