My lab is like a digital alarm clock

I take for granted how patient my dogs are.
They're usually waiting silently for me to wake up.
I would have been drinking and doing illegal drugs if I didn't have them as a responsibility.

My cat can definitely tell time. My old job would have shift ending times so I had some consistency. My cat would walk into my office with 3 minutes of my quitting time almost every shift. He just knew.

That's what's so dumb about Daylight Savings. Can't explain that to the dogs.

My beagle definitely knows what times lunch and dinner are served. If I miss it by a few minutes, I get stare downed until I get up and fill up her bowl.

I'm glad Sally has changed her profile photo

I’ve heard that theory too.

We have three hellions and literally every morning about 7:30 they get up just like they had an alarm clock. Every now and then (Rarely on the weekends) they will sleep till 9 but it’s all like clockwork

The only time Nymeria can tell is,
It's time to get the fu ck out of that abusive relationship.

Dogs and cats get into routines and know how to tell time like an expert.
On a side note, they cannot read a calendar for shite.
They act like every day is Monday.

If he can tell time (and I think he can), just think what else he is tracking of you...
Your alone time
You and your SO's alone time
You, your SO's SO and SO alone time
Kidding

No.
I have noticed through the years that I wake up to piss at exactly 4:35 AM to piss damn near every morning for years on end. I thought I had some kind of supernatural biological clock. That is, until I woke up a little before that time and noticed a barely-audible train whistle blowing somewhere in the distance at exactly 4:35.
Pets’ hearing is far better than ours, so I think they hear sound cues like I did.

Yep. Our heeler knows 0630 morning feed, 630pm evening feed, and 730pm snack time. You get the whole Sam Jackson stare if you’re late. The clown.

Not in the sense that they can read a clock but they are creatures of habbit and learn quickly what time they get fed, what time they go out etc.
Its more of an internal clock.
Thats why when when go from standard to daylight savings time and back, it wrecks their life for about a week

My previous lab knew exactly when 7pm was. If he hadn't been fed at 7:01, he would walk over to where I was sitting, sit down in front of me and stare me down. I swear he was staring in to my soul with his anger lol.
My dog is old school. As soon as it starts getting dark outside he is staring at me.

I am convinced that Great Danes have a built-in atomic clock and GPS system at birth.
It is uncanny how the two we have had live with us (one gone over the rainbow bridge, one still lying on his couch as we speak) seem to do it.
They also have a large vocabulary, and you have to be careful what you say if you don't want to start something.

Absolutely… my dog is now 6 months old. She eats at 6 am and 6 pm. And she wakes up every morning and knows exactly what time it is. She pees and poops and is ready for breakfast. Right at 6 am on the button.

He can lick his own balls, is telling time so shocking?

My lab can sense when one of his people is about to show up a few minutes before they arrive. My theory is he recognizes the unique sound of individual vehicles and can hear them a long way off.
