He would have wrote this lyric.
the water is dirty,
The women look thirty,
The camp food is good and the fishin' too, so...
You'll have a full belly,
By the oysters get smelly,
You'll leave with a ticket from Golden Meadow...

Does anyone have any recorded stories of Jimmy visiting GI?
he was a cabin attendant on Carlos Marcelo’s yacht one summer, they used to anchor off Grand Isle frequently

Sounds like something Nonc Nu & Da Wild Matous would sing.
If you heard the Taylor Swift song Wood, the Wild Matous did it first with Egrette.

Port Barre, Krotz Springs, and maybe Livonia have to be in the running.

Was epic to be within 5 ft of him and the stage at Lulu's
Should have seen him at the original LuLu's on Weeks Bay back in the 90's. I happened upon him one time.
Edit: Not sh1tting on your experience by the way. I'm sure it was a memorable moment.

Don't know about GI, but there's a pic of him and his plane tied up to the wharf at Zam's.

In this vein, a couple of years ago I passed through Ringling, MT. If it was a dying little town in the early 70s, it’s practically a mausoleum at this point. Did not see the decades worth of beer cans, unfortunately.
I have also been at the Crystal as drunk as I could be, but the Gallatin Co sheriff did not show up with my stolen Japanese TV.

All I know is that David Allan Coe said Jimmy Buffet he don’t live in Key West anymore.
