I wash them all together unless its something new, always on delicate.
Towels and sheets always get a normal wash without clothes.

Why would you only wash in cold?
Probably because it means I only have to do 1 load of laundry instead of 2. Pretty simple.

typically separate reds from everything else.
this is the way.
only need to pull out a bunch of pink undershirts once to learn this.

Depends on what I’m washing…
Posted on 7/14/23 at 9:22 am to dyslexiateechur
No, but sometimes I do give my colors their own safe space in the washer by themselves

No.
I do laundry twice a week. I don't separate based on color, but I do try and wash jeans and towels separately from regular clothes. Mostly b/c the fabrics are harsher than my clothes, which are mostly cotton

I used to, but haven’t in years. I wash towels separately, though.
This, verbatim.

Normal whites, darks, and towels each get a hamper. My wife's delicates get a hamper. This is so that we don't get a divorce, either because I washed and dried something I shouldn't have, or more commonly, I was told I couldn't run a load because she needed to go through and take out her delicates. In short, I used the age old "throw money at the problem" so that I can now do what I want, when I want, without having to hear shite about it
Is my wife living a double life with you?!

Yes, we support segregation in this house.

Where do you stand on laundry segregation?
Cotton (mostly t-shirts), nylon/poly (fishing shirts, underwear, shorts), and jeans/pants. That's as far as my laundry separation goes. I'll wash new clothes separately just in case, especially jeans, but clothes bleeding isn't really a thing anymore, I don't think.

Only at the water fountain.

I don't separate by color but do separate by the type of wash.
Workout, golf, etc clothes, towels and such are washed differently than my work and evening attire.

Only if it is something new and never been washed before. Back in college I washed a new red T shirt with a bunch of other stuff and everything turned pink.
I do separate towels from everything, they seem to leave lint on the rest of it.

If my tighty whities are now gray with age and have stains that cannot be removed, do they still count as whites?

I've been washing everything in color water for 40 years. It all goes in the same load.

I have to. The colors are so fragile, like snowflakes, they have to be separated.
Posted on 7/14/23 at 3:47 pm to FightinTigersDammit
How many loads a day do you do with coloreds? Do you have enough liquid for that?
Posted on 7/14/23 at 3:48 pm to dyslexiateechur
I don't separate them: the colored clothes like to separate themselves.
