It depends on where you live. I live in a Houston suburb. It it totally normal here. My hospital leadership team has men, women, whites, blacks, Asians, and Indians. We look like where we live and also like our patients. It would be weird it all our management were white.

I know of the same thing that happened at LSU this year....it's pissing off a lot of physicians.
She had the same profile. 4.0. 80 th percentile, so top 20% on the MCAT.
Got passed over for a trans woman ( male to female) 35 th percentile who was black.

Matriculation statistics are still published every year.

Schools do actually do this. If you are a veteran and apply for med school with the bare minimum requirements they'll pick you over someone with better grades.
But i dont think people understand how much depends on your entrance interviews. And never ever apply to just one school.

But look at that pic. White women are extremely well represented in the typical UAB Med School class. Won't pull up every single photo of every single class to prove my point. Just feel free to Google it.
People who think they're hot shite, like prospective med students, dream up a lot of shite to rationalize why other people don't think they're hot shite (e.g. "They're just jealous.") Not saying that this girl from this unverified and anecdotal story in the OP is out-and-out lying about why she didn't get accepted. Just saying I'm taking it with a grain of salt.
