Very few people in their 30s deal with these issues. Find me another person in their 30s who's body seems to want to reject flying?

I've worked with clients that have a significant, debilitating phobia of flying. That are even younger than you.

They instead find other means of traveling. Some, through cognitive therapy and medication have started flying shorter distances.

There's a distinct mental aspect to a lot of conditions and it's not uncommon for mental health to manifest physically. I don't disagree with the doctors who have advised you see a therapist.

Hes not saying he has a phobia of flying, hes saying his asthma is starting to have an affect on flying...

I could never do it, even though the past three years have been the worst of my entire life. My Mother suffers from pulmonary fibrosis. They gave her four years to live, five years ago. I’ve watched as she has needed more and more oxygen to survive. Her quality of life is almost completely null and void.

Still, she gets up each day and works remotely from home. She never complains and refuses to give up.

Watching her has been an inspiration that has made me keep pushing forward.

He specifically said in his OP:

quote:

I also suffer from Allergic Asthma but my case is bad enough to where it has made flying difficult the last 2 1/2 years. I've talked to several doctors about it, they think it's all mental. It still scares the heck out of me but the idea of not being able to travel scares me far more.

Again, maybe see a good therapist instead of wanting assisted suicide instead.

Wow, you sound like a giant pussy. Seriously. The "medical" issues you face are not that bad. I have seen people with much worse face life head on. In fact I have a very close friend who has peritoneal cancer and has had shingle on his nut sack. That is pain, he fights through it on a daily basis and doesn't even talk about ending his life.

Here you are with high blood pressure, hemorrhoids, and asthma trying to get people to help you justify the act of suicide? Wow. Get help, mental help.

Right.... and read the sentence directly before the one you bolded.

He isnt scared of flying. Hes clearly stated that he loves it and that his asthma is having a negative effect on it.

What? Do you mean attempting suicide is illegal? Either way, there are some countries where it is.. Do you live in one of those countries?

What do you mean the sister can't be admitted to hospice because of the nurse? legitimately curious about whatever fricked up rule makes that a thing and this situation is why I am 1000% behind death with dignity laws (If she would like to choose that path)
There were some games played with diagnoses and treatment plans at the demand, not request so much, of the employee nurse. Eventually the sister nurse got POA too and then ended all hopes for a peaceful (as could be under the circumstances) passing.

Honestly, the nurse sister I believe was acting from good intentions: couldn't bear losing her loved one. The resulting actions though were appalling. Nurse sister wasn't just a run of the mill floor nurse either. She held power and had powerful allies in the administration who wouldn't cross her.

And that multiple doctors think his exasperation of the asthma symptoms is due to his mental health. But he apparently refuses to seek counseling for that to see if that is in fact the case.

Right. That doesnt equate to him having a fear or "phobia" of flying like you were trying to say. That was my point. He doesnt have a fear of flying.

I was showing the point that if it is simply exasperated by a mental health issue, then the reasonable course of action would be to see a therapist and that they could teach him coping skills to make flying more tolerable.

Just stick it out for a few more months. The government will encourage you and then commend you for it.

I'd love to see anyone justify why someone with an inoperable brain tumor who is going to die shouldn't be allowed to end it peacefully and painlessly on their terms.

I’ll try - I have a friend who had stage 4 lung cancer - the docs also found a tumor on his spine - so that was it. Life was over. Well, six weeks later - the cancer and tumor were gone. Not sure what happened.

The stuff on the plane - your anxiety is inducing your asthma. It is in your head. You need to see someone about that.

As for your hemorrhoids - man up - my grandma had 9 children and rarely complained about her piles unless she ate spicy food and sent me for tucks. If you’re not wiping with tucks - go get some.
