What Best Stop did to their recipe in last 5 years should be a crime under Louisiana law.

I could not agree more baw

Yes, I just wish they would sell U.S. catfish, or any U.S. fish, as opposed to that imported asian swaii crap.

It’s sausage made from ground ribeyes. It may be the best sausage i’ve eaten.

It’s great hot off the grill. Not nearly as good once it get’s cold

What is this that I clearly need to avoid?

It's a super thick batter coating on the boudin balls. It actually will peel off clean if they over fry it.

It's actually disgusting and I can't stand it.

Kartchners is really bad but I can stomach it for the crawfish balls. They are smaller.

Best stop ruined their recipe by putting everything in a blender and making some kind of boudin slop they now fry.

Billys is the only ones besides Nonc out in Rayne that don't have that awful coating.

Billys crawfish boudin balls are worth whatever wait there is.

Also, if half the line ain't brothas just skip the boudin. I told my wife when I walked in to Kartchners in Crowley...this ain't good. Too many white folks for lunch time.

I think the Cajuns exercise pretty good judgment on food. Just sayin.

Agree 100%

NuNu’s has great crispy boudin balls. Plain and pepperjack. Smaller than the others and crisp outside.

just stopped at Karchener's yesterday on the way back to Houston. Boudin and crawfish balls, smoked boudin, and andouille sausage. Small order

I used to always go to Best Stop but the last few times i did not like their boudin balls (as mentioned ealrier), and the place was packed and hard to check out. Billy's has great boudin balls, but also packed.

Kartchners in Crowley

The customer service/folks available to check out customers there is atrocious. The owner has a good thing going with the Scott and Lafayette locations (he’s not the same as the Krotz Springs owner), but my experience in Crowley last weekend was absolutely horrible. And I wasn’t the only one frustrated.

Exit 48

Some of you may spend too much time there.

I can do the same in a different direction. I recite the major Mississippi exit numbers to Biloxi.

Exit 3 Rest Stop and Slipper
Exit 13 Bay St. Louis and Kiln
Exit 16 Diamondhead
Exit 24 Buc-ee’s and Menge Avenue
Exit 34 Major Gulfport Exit US 49 and Outlet Mall
Exit 46 Biloxi/D’Iberville and Casinos I-110

As you can tell, I spend way too much time over there. I should just move there.
