I used to get 10% to 20% back for paying cash or with a check.

You kids today are not near as smart as you think you are.

And your dumbass doesn’t realize that no one differentiates pricing for cash vs card anymore. The credit card costs are passed onto the consumer regardless of which form of payment you decide upon.

So not using a credit card is stupid, assuming you pay off your balances.

Yes and specs has cash/debit prices and credit prices. It's a small minority though.

So you're the guy that barters huh? I'm not from the middle east

Are you 12?

Barter is normal for American citizens for most of this countries history. If you think only folks in the Middle East barter you need to get out more.

Also the price tag doesn't change if I pay in cash.

Says you

I was in a Fortune 500 retail establishment today buying an item in the 500 to 1,000 range and got 20% off paying cash on the spot.

Look, either you are trolling or you are dumb as a bag of hammers for not having better communication skills to get what you want for a better price in cash.

You must have lived in some real shitholes if the land lord was willing to drop the price in lieu of finding another tenant.

No, just the opposite.

Landlord business works if...
Tennants pay on time
Tennants don't tear the place up
Tennants don't move often (vacancy, turnover, marketing expenses)

If I have a tenant for a decade paying cash up front and no hassles or headaches I am going to keep that tenant.

No shite Sherlock, but you still get 1-5% back depending on the card and purchase.

If the item costs 1,000 bucks

1% = 10 bucks
5% = 50 bucks

If I get the same item for 20% off for cash

20% = 200 bucks

Not sure where you learned math but 200 bucks > 50 bucks > 10 bucks
