99% on the folks who are spouting stuff like that online are simply trolls. You'll get zero engagement if you say, "the earth is round," but post in support of a flat earth, or another out of left field opinion and you get tons of interaction.

If the earth is flat and you take a plane west, land in Japan and refuel, take off and go to the west, you always get farther and farther from your starting point right? And at some point you fly beyond the edge of the flat plane into nothingness. Yeah, I'll buy that.

There's no such thing. Just a joke that's gone way way wAy too far and people don't realize it's not funny anymore. That and conspiracies have taken off but at the end of the day there's not anyone who actually truly believes the earth is flat

I'm surprised how many people out there believing that. I have a friend who owned and recently sold a $100 MIL business that I grew up with. He started telling me about flat earth, center of the earth is empty with aliens, NASA faked the moon stuff (that killed me bc I watched first moon landing as a young kid), and all kinds of conspiracy theories. I know some stuff will shock me one day when I find out the truth but the moon landing killed me and not wanted to listen to him about anything.
