The new GM motors are about to come out. I would see what the new tahoe/Yukon looks like

Sequoia’s third row and cargo space is laughably bad. It makes no sense given how large a vehicle it is.

The new Lexus GX 550 is the one I would go with.

We already have one of those

I have a Navigator. The BlueCruise is great for trips but won't work above 80MPH.
I had a Grand Wagoneer with air suspension. The GW rode better and had more boost, but it guzzled gas. I had a bunch of minor electrical/tech issues that was rectified easily. I got rid of it before major stuff happened. Depreciation is horrible.
Cadillac Escalade is nice, but I felt that the seats are not comfy like the other two SUV's were. Only minor problems so far.
I had the previous gen QX80 and rode in the new one. I never had issues with mine when I owned it. I never rode in a Sequoia but I would suspect it is similar to the QX with better reliability.
The generic versions of these vehicles are basically the same reliability wise, so base that on your decision.
Its a balancing act. The most reliable car is usually the most boring, and the nicest car is usually the least reliable. Choose wisely.

The Expedition Tremor is nice (and fast).

I have owned all of the different suburban models going back to 1998. I wouldn’t drive any other vehicle due to ride quality and space. All of the other models like the Tahoe and Sequoia are pretty much useless when it comes to cargo space. I understand you want a new one, but I would recommend an older model suburban in good condition. They are much easier and cheaper to repair, and they just feel like they are built better. I own three different models, and I usually drive my 02 Z71 model around town and to the camp. It has the most comfortable seats and feels like a tank.

I’m in the market as well and am a die hard Lexus Toyota guy. I am having a hard time finding anything used. Yesterday, we looked at the big Infiniti and it is a real nice vehicle. Out of my price range and usual preference b it a nice vehicle. I’m holding out for a reasonably priced lx 600 but don’t look over the Infiniti.
Btw, I will be getting rid of my gx550. The lx 200 and 300 series are where it’s at.

Would be very hard for me to recommend anything other than a Yukon, we have had one since ‘95, except for ‘04-‘08 had Z71 Suburban, currently have ‘23 Yukon…

New Yukon with the diesel.
I have a 2024 Silverado 1500 with the same diesel and I cannot recommend it enough. You will get near 30 MPG on the highway effortlessly, it is very smooth and refined and powerful in daily driving and if you ever need to, it is a towing powerhouse.
And before anyone says it, yes, the diesel has the oil pump belt that will need to be changed around 150k miles if you have the vehicle that long, but personally I would rather plan for that down the road than take my chances in the much shorter term with lifters and bearings in either of the V8s.

Honestly if you are looking at this type of vehicle you are squarely in the driving whatever you want because it’s what you wanted camp…so make a decision on which one you like the most.
Both are overpriced factory upgrades, which I’m not hating on, but they are made for people to say “I want that exact vehicle” so I suspect you already know what you are leaning towards, and I would further suspect it’s the ford because that’s what you are coming from.

Yukon/Suburban

Not sure about the 4x4 and Unfortunately not available in the U.S., but the ultimate in “big carry vehicles” is the Lexus LM500H.

Here’s an idea…keep your hands on the wheel. Just remember, when you need a truck bed for truck bed things, you won’t have one.
