We’ve looked at the Acadia, traverse, explorer, and the Pilots in the last few weeks. We’ve decided to go with the Pilot Trailsport. My wife has a 22 Jeep Wrangler and it’s been a POS.

Elton John had it right over 50 years ago.

It’s still correct today:

Take me to the pilot

We have an Acadia. Makes a weird assed clunking sound when turning that no one can diagnose that aggrivates the shite out of us. Other than that it's fine.

Get the Pilot.

Does the Acadia still have the battery under the passenger floor?

My wife has a 2015 GMC Acadia. It’s been a great vehicle. Over 147K miles and only thing that we had fix was AC complaint but it was still under warranty.

The battery in the floor board isn’t a problem just confusing as hell when I had to change it. Crazy shite but great car all in all

Buy it, if you don’t mine transmission problems, in-car electronics problems, reliability and owner satisfaction.

If those items bother you, get the Pilot or a Highlander.

Does it come in a V8 model?

Hardly
4 cyclinder-only.

V6's were available in the past on that platform.

They're now only good for rental.

Those are 2023 Acadia numbers.

The 2024 is a completely different vehicle, noticeably larger than the pilot, and as spacious as you'll find outside of minivan or full size.

Looking at purchasing a newer GMC Acadia. 23-24 model year. Does anyone have any advice on these models. Comparing it against a Honda Pilot, which is a bit more money, but solid. The newer Pilot looks a bit smaller interior wise.

The 2023 ones were smaller and IMO not as good. The 2024 models are very good and significantly larger.

The new ones are definitely larger than the Pilot, which might help justify the price. I'd look at the Elevation model and option it up.

The 2007-2016 Acadias sucked, the 2027-2023 models were okay, and the 2024 - present models are surprisingly good.

I have a 19 Acadia that I bought new. It's been absolutely fantastic. Just crossed the century mark, and outside of brakes and tires, I've only had to replace the thermostat.

It's bigger on the inside and more comfortable than a Pilot. Would buy another one, for sure. Peppy V6 that has plenty of power.

Got wife the 25 Acadia Elevation. Rides bigger than the older ones. Parents had I think a 5-6 year old one and it drove like a minivan.
