There’s not a < or > . Different breeds. Different jobs. If used as livestock guardians best bet is to have 2 different breeds.

Exactly
The only time we ever had just one kangal, he was only guarding my american bulldogs from coyotes until every one came inside at night.
With the fence in play, any yote dumb enough to cross the fence was dead. They just didn't know it yet.

I knew a man with herd of sheep and Great Pyrenees dogs.He would have 3 dogs.

I didn’t know they had that in them! Damn!
Dad's neighbor had one at the lake. We'd have all the kids up there running all over the damn place. That dog sat on the hill watching them the whole time. If another animal even tried to come close, he run it off. Great Pyrenees are awesome herd dogs.

We have coyotes, Fox, skunks, coons, leaves, flowers, the wind…they attack everything.
We had goats and chickens. Just chickens now. They watch over 5 acres. Super sweet to my family but even if a stranger is in our presence they are watching. My male is 130ish. Female 120ish.

One of my favorite shows as a child. The cartoon is true to the breed.

There’s a sheep farm in Dekalb County, Georgia? That’s hard to process considering how densely populated that county is.
Doesn't look like a big area. There was a plot of maybe 10 acres near us in Gwinnett county (next to Dekalb) that sheep and they kept an Anatolian in the field with the sheep. He wouldn't let anyone get close to the sheep.
Two coyotes attacked our Australian Shepherd one night. She fought them off long enough to make it back into our yard and, fortunately, I was on the deck. When I saw what was going on, I ran out to help and the coyotes just disappeared. It's a mighty tough dog to kill 8 coyotes, but good for him.

Must have fought them one at a time. If all 8 jumped on the dog at once, I don’t think he could have survived.
Those dogs know how to fight coyotes. Like any pack of dogs, a few are leaders and the rest sit around and wait for the end. The dogs know to go after the leaders, and they situate themselves so that the coyotes cannot get them at the same time. I've seen the same when a pack of foxhounds gets ready to kill a coyote. They just don't run in and attack as a group. They circle, posture themselves, and finally go in for the kill.
My Aussie runs off coyote packs (they actually ate the tails of two new calves). But, she knows how to handle the situation. She will get after them one on one, but if the pack is around, she runs full speed at them barking like a banshee. It is a shock and awe that usually puts them to flight. Once they are away from the cows, she comes back. If they start to get a circle, she'll back off.

I shoot every one of those bastards in the face every time I see one.

It's a guy that rents out sheep for brush clearing, so it may not be the type of sheep farm you are thinking of.

Livestock guardian dogs are pretty awesome. They live and bond with the herd instead of humans.

seems like the owner did dog no justice not having 2 or 3 dogs to help protect the stock.
