Physical book? It’s been years.

Kindle book? I go in spurts reading them every day then go weeks or months without doing so because I got tired of doing so on my phone.

Every day. I keep a book in the bathroom, and usually have another ready when I've finished that one. I'm a regular customer of my local library.

I read 1 to 2 hours every night before going to bed. I'd rather read than watch TV (or talk to most people )

By far, not often enough. I have probably read less than 100 novels from cover to cover in my 73 years on this orb. My general preference is true crime type novels or believable mystery novels.

Never have been much in favor of futuristic sci-fi novels.

When I do get into a book, I generally stay with it and get it done in a few days time so I can keep the story line fresh in my head.

Outside of the bible? Not much. I do listen to about a book a week on my long drives.

Weeknights,I try to read in bed. Sometimes I make it 2 pages, sometimes 10, before falling asleep.

I used a Kindle, but switched to a Kobo reader. I started buying physical books again when Amazon started modifying previously purchased content around 2020. The Kobo allows me greater versatility in loading books from non official sources. I have thousands of books on my PC, many from the Gutenberg project, which are effortless to transfer to the Kobo using the library management freeware (Calibre).

The biggest advantage over physical books: changing the type size. I am just starting a book that I can barely read if I have my contacts in. That's not a problem with a Kindle or other e-reader.

Also audiobooks in the car instead of radio.

Even with short commutes you spend more time in the car than you realize.

May as well learn something.

I made it through my bachelor and master’s degree by having only read 4-5 books in their entirety since I learned to read.

I read so much other stuff (news articles, research, reports, social media, etc) that I just don’t want to read a book.

I read for 30 minutes to an hour before bed every night unless I've been drinking. Listen to audiobooks on my commute and while working. Also listen while mowing the grass, housework, cooking, etc.

I like reading actual books not on a kindle.
It’s been awhile tho, used to read a lot.
Until my vision started going. I hate wearing glasses. I think that has a lot do with.

I read 30-50 pages a night in bed. On an ipad (Kindle) mostly free books that are old enough to be in the public domain (depending on when they were published 70 years after the author is dead or 95 years from initial publication date), mostly classic literature but also a good bit of non-fiction and even a good bit of fairly recent novels. Just about any genre but especially southern lit, grit lit, European imperialism anthologies....almost anything other than science fiction, fantasy and horror although I have tried those as well. I read and re-read anthologies of authors on a regular basis. I will, a couple of times a month, buy books on Kindle from Amazon that seem interesting and aren't in the public domain. I have probably averaged 50 or so books a year and have since I was 6 or 7 years old so probably 53 years.

I know many men who brag about having not read book since high school or college. I can't begin to imagine not reading for pleasure.

Every night for 20- 20 minutes before going to bed. Latest is “Six Frigates.-The Epic Story of the Founding of the U.S. Navy.” About 50 pages in. Great read so far.

Great book. The author did a really good job of impressing how little money the US had, but still chose to spend a ton on those six frigates to deal with the Barbary pirates and the slave trade.
