Depends on the books. I can usually polish off a 300 page book in a single flight depending on the author (including time at gate and during layover), so I may do one out and another coming back.

Pretty much every day now since I retired (highly recommended). I read during the day, outside, with my dog.

I went on a getaway vacation in Savannah with the family years ago when budgets were tight. Took the kids to play/eat in the hotel courtyard. A couple in their late 30's/early 40's were lounging in the courtyard reading books for like two hours. Dead quiet and no talking/taking breaks. They looked like their connection on vacations/daily basis was with books. No kids.

To each their own and I had to respect what they were doing, but I have so much going on with everything else. It seems the last thing I have time for are books. Kudos to those who manage their time to do it. I just have different priorities.

I prefer to do research on products/investments/lifestyle help reading short articles and watching videos, than read a novel.

I feel that I would love to read when the kids go off to college and then again in retirement. It's calming.

I read the Bible for a good 30 minutes most morning when I wake up but I couldn’t even tell you the last time I sat down with just a regular book to read. I wish I could get back into it but I just lost the interest

As for how do you find the time it’s like anything you’ll make time for stuff you want to do even if it means getting up a few minutes earlier

I can’t stand ebooks though I’ve tried and it drives me crazy we get enough screen time as is during the day

I read hours every day, but I’m retired so there’s that.

Haven’t read a book since the last book I was assigned to read at LSU.

I had a stroke now, which causes me to be a very slow reader. Because of this, I honestly can’t see myself sitting down and reading a book again.

I've never been a big reader, but am more and more interested in it as I've grown older (I'm 46 now). Plus, I finally broke down and bought reader glasses and that has made me actually want to read more now.

I actually finished a book last night (Project Hail Mary). I normally don't care for fiction, but wanted to read that one before the movie came out since I loved The Martian book (which is only one of a couple of books I ever liked so much that I read twice). And (despite wishing the ending was a little better) I loved it....read it in like 4 or 5 days. I don't think I've ever read a book that fast before.

But I much prefer to read for information. So nonfiction is way more up my alley. I'm in the middle of tons of different kinds of books now. WWI/WWII, several Beatles books, McCartney's The Lyrics, random crime/mafia/mysteries books, Mindhunters, etc.

From someone who, outside of a few exceptions, always sort of hated to read, I actually really like it nowadays. And I do it mostly in the evenings at home while my son is playing or watching some bullshite on TV.

Wife and I both do this. Really helps relax and wind down, moreso than TV we think. Been on a non-fiction kick lately, but usually like mixing it up. Got a Kindle with the Libby app from the library so I can check out digital books for free, which I'd highly recommend.

I like a physical book. Can't stand reading off a tablet/phone.

I'm turning my upstairs loft into a library at the moment and like collectibles/older first editions, so i like having the physical book anyway. But I tried reading on the tablet a few times and I get a headache every time. Would like to read on one for the better deals you get and the library apps, but I just can't do it, even if i turn off the white light setting.

I read more when I’m traveling for work. At home not much. Do usually have an audible going while I walk

Early Mornings
Late Nights (more often)

Audible in the day, no it isn't reading, but I'm usually reading 4-5 interconnected books at one time and a fiction book. So listening to light stuff around a theological or philosophical or social idea, then deeper stuff on the page.

Then when I travel, I bring two books and read and listen while traveling.

I received 4 books for Christmas this year. Read ‘Only God Can Judge Me’ in January- it’s Jeff Perlman’s biography on Tupac and it was probably the best biography I have ever read. 464 pages.

I’m about 100 pages out from finishing ‘Secret of Secrets’ by Dan Brown. 688 pages.

Next I’ll start on the 2025 book from Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, ‘Bad Lands’. 368 pages. I’ve read every book they have released together. They’re fun reads.

I try to take 30 minutes or so when the TV isn’t on and read a few chapters. Sometimes in the morning before work, sometimes and lunch and sometimes in the evening, depending on what’s else is going on around the house.

I’ve realized that I like to read like I like to watch TV- I’m not a binge watcher. I want to watch an episode, then move on to something else for a day or so, then come back and watch another one. I read the same way. I prefer to stretch out the enjoyment of reading instead of reading for hours at a time, then it’s over in a few days.

Every day. Reading for at least half hour each day is non-negotiable. And it has been shown to make a big difference in cognitive health.

We do not watch much TV at all. Maybe an hour a day. Most stuff is idiotic.

Goal this year is to read 30 books. Chump change compared to friends and some people on the book board.

Every week, most every night. I have a genius IQ and I'm not a mouth breather like most of you.
