Then consider yourself fortunate.

I used to drive to Memphis from north AL on a regular basis. I'd usually leave after getting off work at midnight.
I wasn't far past the MS/TN line on a side road when a car started riding my arse. It had two guys in it. They would pull out, speed up beside me, then drop back behind me. Coming up on a stop sign, they finally passed me, and turned the SUV in a way that mostly blocked the road. The driver jumped out and came toward my door yelling. I had my pistol in my lap, and when he got close to the window, I pointed it at him. He acted like I wasn't going to do anything, but when I rolled the window down part way, he ducked and ran back to the SUV. They pulled off, and I turned around and rode in the opposite direction for a while.

So do you leave your gun in the vehicle if you run into a store? I'd feel better about just brining it with me, the outside chance my car is burglarized, I do not want it stolen.
I don’t have my carry license just yet so I have to leave it in the vehicle. I have a center console safe to keep it in. Combination lock, bolted down.

You never been in any situation where you would have felt a little more comfortable if you had a gun with you? Maybe turned down the wrong street?
Anytime at night if I am in a rural area with little traffic, I think about how easy it would be, if I somehow broke down and the cell service is spotty, how easy it would be for someone to come along and rob me.. Or how easy it would be to kill someone in that situation and NO ONE would see anything.. You wouldn't feel just a little better having a gun?

Road rage dude came to my door and opened it with a knife in his hand. I didnt raise my firearm. But was at the sul position. Not gonna lie I was a little shaky after. Really thought I was gonna have to shoot the retard.
Texas Castle Doctrine. That dude would have been shot, at least I would have. I've mainly picked mine up for the protesting in the streets the last couple of years. NW Houston is not a problem area but in case I go downtown or at work, I'm making sure it is there with me. But these days, if somebody opens my door with a knife for whatever reason they are getting at minimum 5 rounds or they fall over.

Just a foreign feeling to have a gun on me while I’m out running errands or whatever. I like having it near when I’m doing things like pumping gas.
Start carrying. Get into a habit. It can become second nature like putting on a belt.

I’ve been having a permit for years but just recently started carrying again. Took me this long to figure out how to carry comfortably without it being obvious.
Hope I never have to use it in any way because I try to avoid sketchy situations.

This is where I keep my pistol in my truck. Pretty solid.

would argue having a weapon on you at all times would seek out more danger than protect you from it.
If this is the type of person you are, you shouldn’t be carrying. Most (99%+) people with a CC license that actually carry do not think like this.

Was no CCP back in my day, but I carried often. I closed a bar so it was prudent.
1- No
2- Yes, he followed me into a breakfast place after tailgating me for blocks to which I brake checked his sorry azz.
3- Yes, he was reaching into his center console, so I pointed my .45 at his head, he bolted.
People in the restaurant shunned me kind of.

The type situations you get in where having a concealed weapon is helpful only come around once if you don’t have one
