Little did we know it was just homeless orgies in camps made of buggies from the local wal mart.

There are probably still quite a few weird things we can't explain.

Ole Leonard Nimoy had thing going with In Search Of..

There was one with the Honey Island Swamp Monster..

We have a camp on the West Pearl in the Honey Island Swamp, for the last 50 years, never seen that thing once. Harland Ford, had a camp right near us, and it was all a bunch of BS. His granddaughter is married to Terril Evans of Swamp People fame..

We had a group in our roughly 1.25 acres on the edge of my neighborhood in Gretna growing up. I saw them once running home in the rain so I wouldn’t catch pneumonia.

Yep, Leonard Nimoy was the host. It was syndicated and came on the air on Saturdays in Houston in the 70's. Used to love watching it when I was a kid.

Bermuda Triangle

Many of the same people who think of an Ugandan when they hear “Kamala” think of the Bermuda Triangle when someone mentions “Devil’s Triangle.”

The In Search Of episode with the Honey Island Swamp Monster had a guy standing on the old bridge between Claiborne Hill and Boston Street talking about how he saw the monster in the river but it was filmed in a way that made you think he was out in the boonies.

The episode also had a great shot of some of the old stores on Boston Street like the CB Store.

More likely it’s the result of man made climate change

I wonder why the Bermuda Triangle thing was let be such a scary place

It’s almost like someone wanted people to stay away from the area and go looking around

The Duke boys had a rub with quicksand at least once or twice.

I'm guessing the families of the Flight 19 pilots would disagree with you.

Quicksand was in at least one episode of every show from the 60’s-70’s & into the early 80’s. What happened to quicksand? Is it still out there anywhere? Did it all dry up?

And acid rain

Acid rain was very real, it was a byproduct of the fuel used at the time and the smog that covered cities. When fuel and emissions (sulfur and nitrogen dioxides) were cleaned up the problem was eliminated for the most part.
